This is an excellent comment. No matter how much Drew might frustrate me at times, the way he treated Ben - especially in contrast to Ed's behaviour - will always make me like him. I really hope that some of the kids watching realised that this is the way you treat a gay friend.Maybe Ep. 31 (which I saw for the first time last night) shows the reciprocal affection between Ben and Drew. At the risk of the moral police howling their outrage, Drew's behaviour with Ben has been the sort of role modelling that gives gay teens hope. Here's a cool guy who is prepared to hug, kiss and share a bed with Ben. There's no mouth wiping like Ed did on the Spin the Bottle night. Drew won my heart early because of his treatment of Ben. And if you think that's nothing check the stats on Beyond Blue re. teen suicide specifically as it relates to gay teens.

I agree whole heartedly

One of the biggest problems is that often they don't know (boys particularly), that they have a gay friend...and the gay friend is terrified of coming out and being ostracised. Drew's behaviour does way more than any series of 'talks' or advertisements can ever do.This is an excellent comment. Hearting Drew
Stayed true to himself
Not influenced by the other housemates
Doesn't try to influence other housemates
Goes along with Tim's games
Saved Jade of her humiliation on being put up for eviction by Ed
Took Ben to the PS
Saved Boog the only one 1 to 7 against : because of her fun and humour(even tho he didn't like her voice)
Said to Tim "why didn't you folloe your heart?"
Stayed true to Tully against the backlash from the other housemates
Surprised us with his great miming skills
when asked why he consoled Tully when she was emotional simply asked back :"why am I the only one to comfort her when she's upset?"
Said he loved Tully
Quietly keeps his own judgement
Hes the man, need I say more? hahah
Your forgot to mention that Jade was only up that week because HE voted for her.
Hooked up with a girl in a relationship on the outside.
Lies to housemates so they fight.
Pretends to be everyone's friends and then bags them out to others.
And then when caught out he lies and wont admit what he did.
Is not capable of survival without a side kick/person to bounce off.
Judges everyone else but forgets that which he himself has done.
But he has dreamy eyes so I will at least say you have good taste in looks.

Drew wasn't even afraid to say to Ben, I love you Ben, when Ben was comforting him just after Tully was evicted.
Drew knew Ben had a crush and didnt care when he flirted, and they had quite a few fun times and interesting chats on live feed that never made it to the daily shows.

That is great.
Are you also ok with that kid watching to go on to cheat on a partner? Or lie to friends to make them fight between them self? Or make fun of a girl for falling for a guy? Or laugh at others for being fat? Or pretending to be friends only to say horrible things the second they leave?
One good trait, does not excuse the rest. I am glad he liked Ben, I liked Ben too. I cant look past the rest though sorry.

No need to be sorry. Your judgemental moralising is something that one day I hope you are sorry for instead. But I won't lose any sleep over it.That is great.

I consider people who have been abused by society and the treatment of those people - who are still discriminated against today in Australia and worldwide, mind you - of much higher importance than worrying about any of the other stuff you mentioned. That stuff isn't even in the same ballpark. That is great.

You choose what you believe is important and I'll choose mine. I also don't think highly of someone who says they wouldn't care if someone died in a hole and then fails to own up to it when confronted but again: Choose what you feel is important and respect the same of me. Cheers.

That is great but I was making a joke about getting it wrong with Drew only washing monthly by saying its 3 months.

Seriously wth?
Ooh that's right, I forgot that I am not allowed to have an opinion because I like Jade.....
What ever guys. I was not saying crap about what you should or should not think or feel. I loved Drew and Ben together. Just pointing out that there are other corners on a square and a square with one side is not going to land on a number when you roll the dice.
Its funny how the one bad thing Jade ever said is forever thrown in her face and ours (Last time I checked I never bloody said it...) but yet you guys are willing to forget so much because of one good thing?

And promoting bully type behavior isn't going to add to the teen suicide. There are a lot of really important issues in the world today, not just the 1. As far as I see it a death is a death regardless of the cause.
Yes she indeed did. That 'one good thing' may save lives...or did you miss that bit?
And that's exactly why gay people still have a problem. Give me a "that's right" in a condescending manner and then list a bunch of other stuff that pales in comparison. Thought I even did a good job qualifying my original comment with "Drew might frustrate me at times". Meh, not even going to bother any more.
Jade promoted bullying behaviour today as well. I expect to see you sticking up for Tim as a result and condemning her shortly. And promoting bully type behavior isn't going to add to the teen suicide. "Now I know there was a lot of talk about bullying on here yesterday when they did the flour prank on Jade and Ed and thankfully I learned a lot from those people so now it's time for me to declare bullying is taking place. First Boog makes Tim clean the deck on his knees while Ed just gets to prance around which shows a very clear case of favouring one HM over another simply based on their looks. Then she tells Drew to steal Tim's underwear knowing full well how much Tim's clothes mean to him and how he hates anyone touching his stuff so he wouldn't even be able to enjoy a day without being able to wear undies. Same as Jade and her spaghetti. Now Jade tells Boog to steal Tim's underwear, forming a "pack" to gang up on Tim. This is very worrying and serious behaviour and is just further alienating Tim from the group. Amirite?!"

Yeah seems that way... I came in here for a laugh/light conversation and to make a point that I thought was important enough to voice and got bloody burnt alive. Not going to make that mistake again.
Thanks for the convo guys, I will just go crawl back under my rock now shall I?
