...after having had watched yet another good episode of our beloved show for the 3rd time now I think that it's time to make some comments... some of my comments are going to be me in 'picky Sticky' mode again I'm afraid... I just can't help myself lol!...

...I so loved this little house... I would love to walk around inside it lol!... I saw a few houses like this throughout England when we went over there lol!... now!... to the episode itself...

(1)... I'm positive that when Bill said... "do you sleep here?"... (in The Tardis)... The Doctor said something like... "I've no need to... sleep is for (Tortoises?)... unless we've regenerated or have had a big lunch!"... and then Bill asks... "regenerated?"... and he sort of fobs her off when he replies... "oh questions questions questions... that's all for now"...

...is The Doctor aware that he's beginning his next regeneration process already for some reason and is 'preparing' Bill for when he actually does?... did he sort of drop her a hint?... and if so... is his regeneration going to be sooner rather than later perhaps?... or... is it going to be drawn out throughout the entire season step by step whereas he's breaking down slowly until the inevitable happens maybe?...

(2)... ('picky Sticky' #1)... why is Bill moving in with 5 other students and not just living in The Tardis itself?... Rose/Donna/Martha and Amy did... and Clara did some of the time... so why isn't Bill now?... has Moffatt and co decided on a new format when it comes to companions now?... and if so... why?...

...also... won't her 5 new friends be asking constant questions on where the hell she is all of the time?... let's face it... each time The Tardis pulls up with all of that noise it's not as if they're not going to notice it is it?...

(3)... I had to laugh when they all kept hearing the noises and one of them said "Paul go and have a look!" and he says "why me?" and the reply was "physically you're the biggest!" and another one of them pipes up "and the most expendable!"... lol!... that's so typical of spooky movies isn't it?... the big guy has to be the one that sorts it all out lol!... and all the time it was The Doctor anyway lol!...

(4)... another good scene was when Bill called The Doctor "her grandfather"... he was really offended and said "let's say dad!"... (was that a nod to Susan and the original Doctor by any chance?)... it makes me wonder...

(5)... ('picky Sticky' #2)... when they all started dying did anyone else notice that Bill isn't so shocked by seeing people die now?... she was so horrified about it just one episode ago after all wasn't she?... is this episode supposed to suggest that it's possibly a couple of months since the last episode or something because Bill seems more sure of herself now and was even a bit dismissive and even embarrassed about The Doctor in front of her friends now... or is it just me that gets that vibe?...

(6)... ('picky Sticky' #3)... why doesn't ANYONE ever notice The Tardis when it lands in the street like it did?... it always amazes me that people don't... okay Sticky... get over it... move on... move on...

(7)... I so loved the interactions between Peter Capaldi and David Suchet... David Suchet wasn't actually on screen that much when you look at it for the 3rd time when I look at it closely... but when he did his presence was always so strong... as far as I'm concerned his minimal presence carried this episode for me... when he plays Poirot his full acting abilities are obviously suppressed by having to play such a 'stiff' character as Poirot... no wonder that he jumped at this opportunity...

(8)... ('picky Sticky' #4)... surely with all of the previous batches of housemates that have been 'absorbed' in the 70's and 90's etc that when they suddenly disappeared why hasn't anyone reported them missing before?... surely they told their families as to where they were moving to with forwarding addresses?... and how come they weren't returned with the latest batch?... (they were digested so long ago that they couldn't be perhaps?)... that's my guess anyway...

(9)... when David Suchet's by now sad character said about his mother... "if you could save the one that brought you into the world... wouldn't you?" to The Doctor did you see the expression on Bill's face?... what with her 'discovering' photos of her mum and having had put her mum's photo up in her room I'm thinking that there will be some kind of arc which involves Bill meeting her mum alive in a future episode or two somehow... call it a 'sneaking suspicion' if you like lol!... you know how 'The Moff 'loves his story arcs after all don't you?...

(10)... I loved it when David Suchet's character went from being sinister to being childlike in a blink of an eye like he was able to... such is the greatness of his acting abilities... and when he started to cry and say "please forgive me... please forgive me!" like a little naughty child at this precise moment...

...I have to admit it... I teared up along with him... (yes I know... I'm a little wuss aren't I?)... he carried that scene so well... what a bloody great actor...

(11)... I liked the way that it was Bill that figured out that David Suchet was not the father but the woman's son... well done for them writing it that way...

(12)... and finally... it looks like Nardole finally gets to join in on the action at last in next weeks episode thank god... he's being so wasted at the moment... although... Bill isn't looking too happy in this shot is she?... lol!...

...anyhow... those are my thoughts on this weeks episode... overall I loved the episode even though it was riddled with with some cliches' from myriads of stock standard Horror movies lol!... although... I'm glad that it did lol!... David Suchet's performance was magnificent and the highlight for me and he carried the episode even though he barely had much screen time but such is the performance of the man... him and Peter Capaldi together was just sheer pleasure in itself too... cheers.

As much as I am enjoying the new series, I am also feeling Moffat is being very crappy and derivative, I get hollow echoing feels....

Puddle girl, was like a Japanese horror flick, very cool but...you know
Robot episode was like an echo of the vasta nerada, library stuff
And this one - was a lot like Once Upon a Time's Pinocchio, he was turned back to wood - I too wanted it to be more than space bugs, I wanted the whole house to heave and swallow people, the bugs disappointed me.
And like Barjo (weird name), I want a big green alien, or something.

Oh and the ice fish, reminded me of the space thing in Torchwood they had prisoner; and a space whale we have seen? Was that in a Doctor episode???

The Vault - how exciting, hope Moff doesn't stuff this up.

Could be - Missy, Simms, or - I thought of Masie's immortal bitch you can't let loose, Clara is now a monster???

And next week - we have seen killer spacesuits

Oh - and about Bill fobbing the Doctor off, and wanting him gone, if anyone doesn't get this, you mustn'y live with teens/young adults, they hate being seen with old people. Refuse to walk down the street with you, and generally find elders embarassing.
Especially when bonding with new young buddies - oh and did you know we all talk too loudly in public spaces, OMG strangers can hear you (of course I don't give a shit who hears me)

...haha!... it might be that The Doctor went back to Earth and locked Susan in there all that time ago because he couldn't stand the thought of not having her around him perhaps?...naaaaaah!... lol!... just being silly that's all... (what's new you say?)... lol!... why didn't The Doctor just put the vault inside one of the many rooms on The Tardis so that he could've just gone about his normal business as per usual?... it's not like The Tardis doesn't have the room is it?... just a thought to play around with... cheers.

Another thought on the vault - don't get stuck on it being the master, even if all hints point there
I like Adam's ideas best of all the Whovians, his thought could be Face of Bo, stuffing his face with all that take away, well hello Captain Jack - that would be neat

Whoever it is, the Doctor is friendly enough with them to go inside and join them for a meal without fear of being killed or them escaping - so probably not Missy and definitely not the John Simm Master.

Really nice episode, with a good cast, several of whom would make good returning characters (Harry,I'm looking at you).
I knew beforehand that Harry was supposed to be Harry Sullivan's grandson. It was cut because it was assumed most of the audience wouldn't understand, but it's one of those hidden things you can believe is true if you want to (and I do).

The only thing I didn't like was Bill's dismissive attitude towards the Doctor, like he wasn't cool enough for her new friends. Being cool doesn't strike me as something Bill cares about, so i hope it was something other than that. why is Bill going on with her normal life anyway, and why is she broke, when the doctor could supply her with endless credit (as he has done for past companions). Did he kick her out of the TARDIS while Nardole is guarding the vault?

Another good episode of Whovians. I love Adam and Tegan, and the only one I don't like is Bajo, I find him shallow and nit-picking. Or maybe just not very bright, he didn't even seem to understand what was a very straightforward episode.

I think Bajo was right in there are a lot of unexplained things about how the house worked.

What was the creaking floorboards about?
What was the knocking and the knocking back about?
If the bugs eat and replace wood...
Why do they need to eat people and not just spread out into the neighbourhood replacing trees?
Why did the bugs turn his mother into wood and not eat her?
Why does the son only feed people to the house every 20 years, how does he know to do this? Why six?

I wish we had a bit more background on why Bill is living with students, and has no money.
Harry seems to know the Doctor already, and thinks he's the coolest thing ever, so why is Bill acting like he's an embarrassment?

...oh jeez!... I've just realised that I haven't watched 'Whovians' yet... what a nuff nuff!... I'll have to watch it after 'MasterChef' and 'Have You Been Paying Attention' now I guess lol!... cheers.

The closer you are the more embarasing....they all knew he is lecturer
And Bill only just became a proper student, instead of just hanging about and popping into lectures,
it is all a bit new/adjusting time for Bill. Remember she was just the chip lady, she wants to impress her new student buds, and likely wants a proper student life now she can have it.

Bill wants her own place because you can't take someone back to a telephone box in your lecturer's office when you want to shag them.

...bwahahahaha!... I never thought of that!... what a brilliant reason lol!... it makes so much sense too lol!... cheers.

You've forgotten what it was like to be young Mr. S. :p

...hahaha!... not forgotten... according to my sweet darling wife I'm still a child... so I'm young in heart at least... I just never thought of it because Companions are supposed to be 'sweet and innocent' to be on The Tardis so it kind of threw me off I guess?... (although Clara was bonking Danny Pink wasn't she?... but not on The Tardis at least eh?) lol!... cheers.

...a couple of things that I liked on Whovians this week... Tegan was back thank god...Adam was too (I'm starting to like him now) but one thing that I don't like is that 'Bajo' guy... he really does have to go methinks!... I liked Adam's T-shirt that he was wearing...

...Tegan mentioned that there was a David Bowie 'Heroes' single in one of the boxes of the previous tenants from the 70's... I didn't pick that up... great find girl!... Roves alternate names for some Doctor Who villains were quite funny I reckon lol!... Rove brought up that 'grandfather' comment that I mentioned earlier and the 'Susan connection' so it's what everyone else is thinking at least lol!...

...Adam's observations of David Suchet's appearance was quite insightful... oh brilliant!... they're actually talking to David Suchet himself 'Live' now!... bloody great interview too!... Justin Hamilton's section about all things Doctor Who was quite good... he should be in it regularly...

...an exclusive 'behind the scenes' look now... the guy wearing that 'wooden' makeup must've felt stupid wearing that lol!... the 'people that are auditioning to be the next Doctor' section is a complete shit segment of the show and a waste of airtime... they should dump it...quite a good show but some things still need to go to make it better methinks!... cheers.
