I'm in two minds about what I'd do.

On one had I really, really would love to travel to the past
and see if some of the thngs we think, or were taught as
fact really were fact, and on the other hand I too would like
to venture say 200 years ahead to see if things have gotten
better on Earth. To see if we have climed into outer space
or are still stuck here on Earth.

For companions I'd travel back in time and try to woo

Going back would be good also, i'd like to go back to a time when life was more innocent, children played in the backyard or on the street, when at christmas time the street would be full of kids on their new bike, trike or scooter (remember those?). When you could get 5 lollies for a cent, before fast food, before colour tv, before the time when children/young adults believed that the world owed them everything, to a time when the simple things in life was a pleasure... when i could at the age of 6 walk myself home from school without the fear of being mugged or molested. In simple words to go back to a happier simplier time

I wonder though, and maybe my adult mind is being a bit cynical
but if it really was that much nicer back then, as we all seem to
remember it being?

I do remember being able to leave your front door open and walk
to the corner shop and back home and your home was still safe
and all. Can't see that happening now though. But I really wonder
tht despite how much nicer things seemed back then if they
really were.

I think because of the invasive nature of News reporting and mass
media coverage we feel more scared now because more things are
being reported in the media then ever before... That's where I
see the fear and problems coming from.

OMG I would give anything to go back in time & visit my Mum & spend time with her, and maybe change a just a couple of choices, and of course tke the lotto numbers.
Love to see any little bit of the future too. How cool would it be to go back and visit people like Da Vinci, Shakespeare etc.
Damn Doc Who is good, it's such a satisfying Tv experience - with ghosts of your childhood lingering, then the Baker/Davison pepping up of the franchise, then the next stage, then the hiatus. And now we have such exciting new Who, and it's so touching (the Rose stuff is epic)and so sexy, and so witty, and it's such fun having Torchwood & Capt Jack - I'm in Who heaven these days, and there is nothing else in the TV universe like it.

Yeah kxk it is a DW heaven at the moment, ah 4 months till xmas cannot wait for the next season.... Looking forward to BSG also later this year

The thing I really loved about this recent two parter is the music. It
was fantastic.

Was that fast violin they played as incidental music when things got
tense. It was really cool.

If anyone is interested ezydvd has new Who series 1 (2005), and series 2(2006) dvds on sale at the moment for $19.88, usually $27-29.00. I't my favourite friday night treat now, watching hours of Dr Who/Torchwood.

OMG thanj you kxk for the heads up on the series 1 DW love you love you lol Is that the website? I just went there and couldn't find anything or is it the store?

Oh no you don't mean the young guy who was a student? they aren't thinking of him are they? yeuch!!! he was creep even before he became part of that family.

The dvds I found were at ezydvd store Melbourne Central, I went and had a look at their website after as there was one dvd we couldn't find in the store that I wanted - anyway on the website it doesn't say they are reduced to $19.88, it still says they are selling for $29+ or something - so I would check your local store. I just have to own the the whole lot of 2005-2007 it's so good, especially have to have all of Rose & the tragic end. They had boxed sets of series 2005 but had sold out at that store, cost about $90.
And - I see that young guy was a good actor and why they were impressed but yeah he's not doctor material but does creepy very well.

ezydvd site says Dec 5th release for season 3 boxset.

Thanks kxk i will go look in the store where i live I have have all the seasons that i downloaded but would be nice to buy the whole three seasons
