Do we have a politics thread to discuss things political?

I’m not “celebrating” but I’m definitely choosing not to be sad. If the US Administration wants to misconstrue that as celebration then come at me bro 💁🏼‍♂️ The American constitution might not mean much these days but mine still does and you’re 💯 welcome to pay my legal fees to find out.

So there were a lot of people who noticed the right side of Trump's face drooping during the September 11 remembrance ceremony yesterday. It really does look like he had a stroke. You can see him reacting, looking down to check his left, then right hand for movement too. Some speculation he may also have had one a couple of weeks ago when he disappeared for a few days.

OK so Newsweek touched on this noting that Trump then made two public appearances during which he seemed in fine health, while speaking without issue and at length.

A comment under the article said: The effects of a mini-stroke can last as long as a few hours to a few days. The droopy right side of the kingdictator's face could have been one such event. Go find him speaking at that ceremony and you'll see why some thought stroke. One such event usually has others to follow.

I watched some of it and he seems to speak without issue, and flashed this grin at the start so doesn't appear to be a problem with the facial muscles, maybe just slightly less pronounced on his right side. Weird.

There's a point where you need to step back and stop getting mentally abused by the media and algorithms that are working to enrage you for engagement.

There are some big events that will occur in the next couple of months.

Probably one of the healthiest things I have done is not follow all this shit as much as I used to.

I think the key is stepping back and just getting some perspective. See how selective the outrage is. See how much is done by lack of information and context. Things get pushed or censored based on political agendas.

Notice how so many people are aware of misinformation, but think it doesn't apply to them. Not realising the biggest form of misinformation is what they are not told. Then how there's a weird ideological wall, where when exposed to something contrary, they dismiss it. The world view isn't a conclusion based on observing and understanding as much as possible.

I was thinking recently about this, and I think whatever personality trait made me not into team sports has helped me not fall into the traps so many people I know have.

It's been a long-term desire of Marc Rubio, but the US has a long history of fucking around in Latin America. So nothing new. He wants Cuba to follow and the timeline is the rest of Trump's term.

That lady who won the Nobel Peace Prize literally has asked Netanyahu for help to overthrow the Venezuelan government. Asking war criminals for help to overthrow your country's government gets you a peace prize in 2025.

It's all part of normalising and laundering the concept of war to topple the government. Similar to how giving Obama the peace prize for doing nothing was part of normalising the US in forever wars, so he could expand the wars and topple more governments.

I'm more concerned about the Iran war, apparently, if it doesn't kick off by around the end of next month, it'll be delayed until next year because Israel doesn't like flying missions when there's lots of clouds. Lots of US assets are being moved into the Middle East for that war at the moment. Of course, barely reported at all in the media.
