Do we have a politics thread to discuss things political?

…in early January I made some predictions to my sweet darling wife…

1)… Putin will be either be deposed by his Oligarchs or inner circle or even by his Military leaders by my birthday on June 30th by either falling out of a window or by drinking poisoned tea or perhaps just die naturally (which is highly unlikely)…`perhaps just by being shot by one of his own bodyguards that have lost a family member because of him… maybe blown up by Ukrainians by car bomb or a drone lol!…

2)… Donald Trump will lose his Presidency by Christmas Day this year either by impeachment or be assassinated by a disgruntled ex-Maga supporter that has lost their entire lifesavings due to unemployment…

3)… if either Donald Trump or Elon Musk are still alive in 2026… they will be both in jail through being corrupt in business dealings…

4)… by the end of 2026 Elon Musk will be completely bankrupt…

5)… JD Vance will never be President…

6)… by the end of 2026 (or even by the end of this year if we are really lucky)… (even better still… within the next month or two)… the Russian economy will completely collapse `causing the end of Putin and have the Ukraine win this war completely… the Ukraine will get all of their land and territories back…

…lets face it… Russia is completely fucked… Russia has no money left… no weapons… no ammunition… no tanks… no Military vehicles… no soldiers… no oil… no Airforce that are game enough to fly anymore… no Navy ships that are game enough to sail anymore… no Generals that have any tactical sense whatsoever… no technology to replace much needed parts to replace weapons etc… and no factories to replace the ones that the Ukraine have destroyed…

…let alone the internal troubles within Russia itself… criminal activity and murders are on the increase… insurrection is breaking out… all facilities like food and water are breaking down… immenities are collapsing… some cities are rioting… most importantly… more and more of the Russian population are calling to get rid rid of Putin himself… as I said… lets face it… Russia is completely fucked…

…jeez I hope that I’m right on all occasions… I really do… here’s hoping anyway… cheers.

What's next?
Mr Littleproud said he was hopeful the two parties would be able to come to a new agreement before the next federal election in three years.

They'll have to, or be obliterated. Littleproud already said that nuclear power was a Nationals' policy. Seems the Libs aren't convinced. That and a $20bn rural funding policy were too much for the Libs.

…I now have a few more… either I think that I’m Nostradamus or I’m just a deluded old fart that thinks he’s reading the future World order correctly within the next couple or years… but here they are yet again…

1)… having no weapons or armour and no moral left… within the next few months the Russian Army will completely collapse… Russian solders will be sick of dying for nothing and will desert in droves and will be routed back to the Russian borders… Putin will be just a bad memory and probably be dead…

2)… if China does do what they keep hinting at and finally do try to invade Taiwan… they will be given their arses handed back to them on a plate… Taiwans defences and coastal line make Taiwan almost impenetrable… they will be obliterated before they even land on their shores… if they do invade… Taiwan have already made contingency plans to attack major targets in China itself to completely destroy the Chinese invasion attempt on a multitude of levels…there is only a few weeks window within the year for China to attempt an invasion due to the weather… the logistics involved are almost impossible for China to achieve an invasion…

…Taiwan won’t even need the USA to help them much to Trumps relief… they are more than capable of taking China on by themselves… just like Russia…China is a paper tiger… they are all talk and exaggerate their military power… if anything China will completely surround Taiwan with ships to isolate them… Taiwan have the military might to destroy the entire Chinese fleet if they need to… China will completely fail and will be totally humiliated and humbled just like Russia…

3)… Canada will be more powerful on the World political stage than the USA now due to Trump destroying the USA’s reputation as a global power… Canada will shine… even some USA states on the border of Canada may possibly choose to become Canadian states… there’s a few to choose from… (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Alaska)… not all… but maybe some…

4)… the USA will have no political say on the World political stage until the Democrats get back in power at the next election… even then… it’ll take at least 5 - 10 years for the USA to regain credibility on the World stage again… maybe it’s irreversible?…

5)… all of the collective European nations in NATO and European Union etc that support the Ukraine will become the the leading powers within the next few years… most (if not all) dictatorships will totally collapse within the next 10 years…

…well there you have it again folks… the inane ramblings of a 72 year old fart that hopes that his dreams come true again lol!… who knows?… as I said before… even if some of them come true it’s a bonus isn’t it?… cheers.
 
A bit of wishful thinking going on there Sticky. The biggest question is if the midterms will even go ahead, let alone the 2028 election. The elections are run by the states so it's possible they could defy him if he tries to stop it. But I don't want to predict what will happen if there are no elections, or if only some states proceed. That's where the breakup/downfall of the US will probably begin in earnest.

…you’re completely right timmy of course my friend… I like to think that the USA will become irrelevant to the outcome of any Military war in the future so it doesn’t matter who is there lol!… but sometimes wishful thinking does become reality… I’d be really chuffed if at least a couple came true… I’ve just thought of a couple more additions to my predictions while I’m here…

6)… with the recent testing launches of Nuclear missiles by the Russians all exploding on the launch pads in succession (about 5 methinks)… shows that the Russians aren’t performing the required maintenance on the missiles to keep them relevant… therefore Russia will never actually launch a Nuclear weapon regardless of what Putin wants to do… plus… they don’t have as many nukes as they tell the West they have either… paper tiger remember?…

7)… the Ukraine will become the biggest producer of weapons/armed vehicles and drones in Europe… maybe even outpacing all other nations… USA included… and Militaries all over the World will analyse and rethink Military tactics that the Ukraine have used during this War and adopt a lot of their tactics to use in the future … after all… a country with no Airforce or Navy at the time bringing Russia’s Airforce and Navy to it’s knees and also making tanks almost obsolete nowadays is quite an achievement wouldn’t you say?… plus the fact that the Ukraine has never deliberately targeted civilian targets intentionally and only concentrated on Military targets only is a big plus…

…the good thing about these forums is that you can ramble on like a demented old fool… get all of your demented ideas out of your head and not be admitted to a mental asylum lol!… and who knows… if some or all of these things actually do come true…some people may think that I might be a genius lol!… (keep dreaming Sticky lol!)… anyway… that’s it for now until more stupid ideas come into my head… cheers.
 
…oh!… one more popped into my head after having my regular afternoon ‘nanna nap’!…

8)… when the Russian soldiers finally do desert the front lines and go home… or they have just lost the War totally… because Russia’s economy has totally collapsed there will massive amounts of factory and business closures due to bankruptcy…there will be no jobs to be gotten… so therefore no jobs… a hell of a lot of them that are left are newly paroled criminals because of ‘volunteering’ for Military service and will be loose on the streets again…

…that being the scenario massive criminal gangs will be formed and Russia will be ruled by criminal overlords in various segments of Russia… even non criminal soldiers will have to resort to crime to survive and care for their families well being… the replacement for a dead murdered Putin will try and ‘Westernise’ Russia rather than remain a Communist country again…

…starvation will be a major problem for Russians… millions will die and strangely enough… the Ukraine will be the ones to give them the most aid… the Ukraine will come to their rescue and be the #1 country to do it…

…after China have reclaimed half of Russia back because Russia stole it way back in whoop whoop time in History… Russia will be many small countries within itself run by the before mentioned criminal overlords gang members… it will take Russia about 10 to 20 years to recover from Putin’s ‘special operation’… every which way… Russia is fucked…


…well… that’s it for now… I’m sure that my feeble brain will come up with more convoluted predictions lol!… it’s the law of averages… at least one of my predictions will come true lol!… cheers.
 
The world now being the closet it's been nuclear war since the cuban missile crisis isn't a good thing. This will not go down well in history books. Regardless of how much you support Ukraine etc. This is not a good thing that Russia's redline for using nuclear weapons has 100% been crossed.

If Trump knew and this happened we would already be in a nuclear war. This is how world wars start. How minor countries draw big powers into wars. I know people are in their echo chambers and misinformation bubbles but if we aren't in WW3 in the near future that is Putin being restrained. Why would you want to rely on Putins restraint?

The seriousness of this is scarily being downplayed in the western media. We're literally now in a situation where the world is relying on Trump to stop nuclear war in Europe and a newiddle eastern war with Iran so the Palestians can be genocided in the distraction.. This attack by Ukraine is not a good thing. It could be a horrible turning point in history.

More escalation to WW3. Putin and Xi are the steady world leaders against that. Not out own and allied ones. That is fucked up.
