I reckon it's pretty obvious that Dion DOES have personality. The way that he sticks by Jason, despite his crap. The way he handled himself in the Fish Bowl, hilarious. You also constantly see snippets of him talking, and not small talk, with numerous other housemates, which suggests to me that he is indeed a genuine, all-round bloke and the hm's "go to" guy
And you've made that judgement on the basis of what? The hour of extremely-edited footage we get shown daily by the production crew? For all we know he could have had several long rants about religion, done 100 workouts a day and given every girl foot massages. For what we actually get shown, Dion has acted like how he described himself. Loyal to Jason, caring about others and fun in the fishbowl thing. Everyone in the house is trying to play the game. Making such grandiose judgements that are totally uninformed is unwarranted. If you have any proof of him holding back compared to every other housemate, I would be glad to see it. He is not Ed, or Matt or Caleb or them boring people. He's already differentiated himself from them. Only time will tell who he really is and what he really stands for.I think he's still trying to play the game, holding back.
He hasn't acted like how he described himself at all yet.

Oh I am terrible sorry. You are completely right, as the show is edited and we don't see everything. No assumptions about the housemates or anything happening should be made.
Yes this is the show we get and because we don't have live streams and we can't watch them 24 / 7 we should have no opinions on what we have seen.
Although can I ask, how can you say he was fun in the rishbowl? You only saw a few minutes of edited tv. For all you know he spent most of the time in there strangling kittens.
You say he's been loyal? How do we know those weren't just a few select moments? That he hasn't been bitching about Jason behind his back to other housemates? Making terrible remarks that the production staff would never put to air for fears of creating a race riot. We just don't know!
See if I was going off the edited footage, I would say he was acting very fake, trying to play the 'mr perfect' card like that Edward fellow from last year. I also base this on the way he describe himself, what he does and has spoken about other people. To me it presented him as very judgmental and what he does is the correct way and he tries to present himself as being perfect. He has a list of standards and ideals and if people don't share them or try and live up to them, then something is wrong with them. Things like his comments that there's something wrong with people if they don't do like him, if they have a drink and have fun. Misogynistic comments that'd make Tony Abbott give him a free life time membership to 'Team Australia.' I understood it from his very words, if a female doesn't fit into his person standards he won't respect them. Of course he may have said, 'sorry I got possessed by Tony Abbott, of course I don't think that any woman doesn't deserve respect due to how she looks, dresses or acts. Everyone deserves respect.'
So yes it is wrong to look at his horrible misogynistic quote and take it seriously. We just don't know!
So yes you are correct my observations of him at times seeming fake, and the comments he's said and the various little things so far in the edits that make me think this is completely unjustifiable to make an opinion. It'd be much better to be like yourself and form no opinion, except for a positive one.

Ah worthy reply. And yet, I did clearly state that only time will tell what he is truly like. TIME WILL TELL. My statements of loyalty etc were merely made on the same wavelength as your judgements that he "hasn't acted like he described himself". I was making a point. I simply said that already he is not like Ed etc, I did not want a comparison made. Two others have agreed no comparison should be made. You can spend time writing a huge reply, but you should really read thoroughly and analyse what the other person has said before you do so. And saying Tony Abbott is a misogynist is about as argumentatively strong as Godwin's Law.Oh I am terrible sorry. You are completely right, as the show is edited and we don't see everything. I'm not one for drawn-out arguments so this will be my last reply. It's an allusion to think that in any season there has been a housemate who has not had, in some way, a storyline fashioned for them that does not represent who they truly are. Every single housemate ever has been portrayed how the production crew wants them to be. Arguments have been made that this year is worse than any other in terms of editing and fictionalising, but this isn't particularly relevant to the point.Time will not tell, it will be worse, we will have only seen narratives and footage BB wants us to see.
He could win and have had a whole history and storyline of saying racist things in the house and we will never know. This has actually happened in past seasons. See the old bag lady Terri for reference.
So no time, will not tell. If anything it'll make things work as it allows BB greater time to build the narrative and the portrayal of housemates that they want.
I would say he is not like Ed at all, except for the aspect wanting to appear 'Mr together and perfect' however they do this is quite different ways. So not like Ed but can still have a trait like Ed. We just don't know though.
Godwin's law doesn't actually apply when the comparison is apt. That woman respect comment is totally in line with the misogynistic views expressed by Tony Abbott.
And the fact you state Godwin's Law is irrelevant where comparison is apt, and impliedly claim that is the case here, shows a complete lack of judgement on your part. This is a reality TV show, they're going to exaggerate everything! He made one comment. Your allusion to Tony Abbott is not apt, it is synonymous to Godwin's Law.
I don't particularly care if you continue to disagree. You have a right to an opinion, but your justifications are horrible.
