I can't put my finger on it but so far, every live show, the stage portions with Mel are just really really... not great.

She's fab. The production and everything around here is not.

Sonia had more to work with than Mel does.

Think it’s a combination of the setting (the mini stage and crowd pit is no match for the electricity of the ‘OG era’ amphitheater) and the portions being really short + restrictive.

She’s not being given opportunities to really interact and engage with the crowd like Gretel was able to.

They're really pushing the misogynistic Bruce storyline this week. Not complaining though.

I believe this is partly to blame for the poor casting this season and the Love Island storylines.

But I think it's also a skill issue. Production are not interested in moving on from hot people with small brains that was so common in the 2004-2007 era. They also seem unable to really handle one storyline at a time.
