Episode Day 7 (14/09/2014): Big Brother: Sunday

I thought tonight was OK in parts, but it felt quite disjointed again which was a shame - the whole Sanctuary thing was just there so suddenly I felt like I'd missed something. I enjoyed bits, but it just had a rushed feel to it. On the positive though - I now know how to remove red wine from clothes, which is a must-see in any reality show. o_O

Jake has actually grown on me over the last couple of episodes (*ducks for cover* haha), and it was interesting to see that a lot of HMs really like him. I still feel like I barely know any of them, really (has it really been almost a week?!). I did like that we saw more of other HMs (eg Cat), and enjoyed the banter between Sandra and David near the end. Sandra's obviously popular in the house, and David recognises he's not making the best impression (especially with the girls) - but they both had a good laugh about it. Something along the lines of Sandra polishing the floor and David sliding in with muddy feet and mucking it up...:)

I also wonder if Dion and Jason's power to 'shake up the housemates' has anything to do with the Jump-in poll on the weakest pair? Maybe the poll decided which pairings they get to swap? (Or maybe not...but I guess we'll see)

Dion and Jason are the new HOH and their first power play was taking Travis and Ryan into a room and talk nominations. Do the other HM's know about this, and I wonder what they think about D&J choosing T&R?

How soft was Jake when Skye hooked in initially? You pindick, you should have smashed her. I would've had my finger in pronto. At least Aisha had the right idea.

Oh no it's too soon- who cares, it's just a pash you dumb shit.

I found it interesting how well-liked Jake is in the house which I guess goes to show yet again how much we're missing with no LFs. We've barely seen him interact with the other HMs but obviously he is if he's thought of highly by many of them... same with Sandra... and same with David and Gemma to the point those two have put people offside. We're missing out on seeing HMs in their downtime where they just chat about random bs and while I understand why a producer would think those parts aren't interesting enough to make a 60 or 90 minute show, we used to be able to glean more of their personalities and the dynamics of the house from the LF vids. Who's hanging out with each other throughout the day? Who groups off by the pool? Who doesn't like hanging out by the pool at all and prefers to stay in the house? Is anyone working out daily and having chats then?

That's the part that builds familiarity with HMs because watching them go about their day in non contrived "event times" is when you really get to know them. I still enjoy watching it and will continue to for the time being at least but my level of engagement with the HMs is way lower overall this year so far. Other than Skye, I really don't care who goes home in the first eviction. Surely indifference is not Alex's aim.

I don't believe it... they've actually put a video up on the jump-in site that wasn't screened :O gemma, aisha and sam are talking about their first impressions of their partner when they met them on stage.. it's so strange.. it's the most i've heard aisha talk (best accent btw).

Speaking of Priya, where is she? Haven't seen/heard her since she handed over the house headship...

She is probably ringing her financial planner, saying there had been another change. What a waste of money to buy immunity for one week. Shows how much confidence they have in their personalities to keep them in there. I would have kept the $10,000 and stuck by the reasons I took it in the 1st place.

I was pissed that they never showed priya tonight (after the change over) next time she will be seen it will involve drama . She's def getting set up to be the villain

Here's the vid for those of you overseas who can't see it on Jump In. I can't remember how to embed it, or maybe the settings changed with the new forum?
