they knew the HM's would want Nathan to stay ... so since it probably agrees with the JumpIn results they are doing this to let the HM's believe they have a say ... and (when the female intruders arrive) this will lull them into a sense of security that THEY will choose which girl will stay or go ... they'll be more vocal with each other about the pro's/con's especially if they are equally liked/hated ...

Of course it would be so much better it they were shocked and it went against what they voted.
