Episode Day 5 Daily Show - 13/11/2025

Not a fan of the relaxed rules for these housemates.
Directly looking at the camera and leaving messages for family is a cardinal BB sin, feet on the diary room chair, calling him everything except Big Brother and even yesterday BB accepting anything as a nomination. Remember how hard they used to push back on nominating on behalf of other’s feelings?

Edit: and now they’re openly discussing nominations 🤦‍♂️

Really starting to agree that the voice should be a producer who knows how they want to direct the show.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^THIS X 10… cheers.

Watching a bit of episode 5 now. I haven't been able to watch any BB this year - there's just been a lot going on with life stuff and hard to get any time.

Some of you seem disappointed; can I make a point and say that having any expectations is just going to result in disappointment. Best to do a reset, and just watch it like you're watching the show for the first time. Stop comparing it to things before, we are just getting older and jaded. I wish I had the time to put all my time and energy into it. Just life is getting in the way for me at the moment. The housemates seem pretty interesting to me though, and I LOVE that they have a livestream. But a few more camera options would be super amazing.. I'll be dropping in from time to time :D

I love Mel as a host. But she needs to channel a bit more Gretel - Gretel was sort of a mother hen when it came to the housemates... it felt like sometimes she defended them against BB, and even the network. It almost felt like she took a bit of responsibility for them.

But at the same time, she was like a hard hitting journo... she wouldn't shy away from asking them the tough questions.

I'm sure Mel will find her own style... but I hope they don't water down that dynamic too much.

I really want the host to be involved, and interview the housemates throughout the experience.

She doesn't need to channel Gretel at all - and worth remembering in the 10 series the bulk of the HMs were under 25. An older cast shouldn't need so much mothering.

We don't really know her style yet considering she hadn't interacted with the HMs since they moved in. So far though she seems to be confidently hosting the show in her own style, not trying to fill someone else's boots.

That episode was dreadful. So much time on the task and on Colin and Holly. Alanna is great value on the live stream, where the hell is she on the edited TV show? It already feels like the show wants either Colin or Coco to win TBH.

I should have just watched tonight's episode of Survivor. Watching it on catch up now.
I think Season 49 has been ruined for me by knowing who the two people are who are on 50 sadly. It's incredibly predictable because of this post merge so far. Whereas if I didn't know I would have enjoyed the last two episodes so much more.

God, Holly really is a chore. A classic example of why it's better to evict the "bigger character" because the show needs to move on from focusing on this storyline.
They aren't even showing her worst moments on TV either. Calling down syndrome children 'downies' and now I see she's had a go at Connor for not wanting to have children last night too. She just seems vile.

The lack of authority and rule enforcement is actually wild. Someone call Nick.

…Conor and his tourettes…

…evenin’ all… look… I don’t want to bring the tone down or upset anyone due to my ignorance of the topic of Tourettes to start with so I apologise up front if I offend people about it… but I have had encounters with 3 people in my life that have had Tourretes so I can only comment about them personally… that’s as far as my knowledge goes on the subject…

…I looked it up on the Internet and apparently not ALL Tourettes sufferers actually swear out loud all of the time… or do anti social behaviour in public as most of us probably believe… those poor sufferers have a thing called ‘coprolalia’ which involves saying socially inappropriate words in public apparently… so that’s about it on my knowledge of it… but I’m going to speak about Conor and his ‘Tourettes’ anyway… so here goes…

…one person is a Nephew of mine… one person is a great drinking mate of about the past 30 years… the other was an ex fellow employee that I encountered for about about 7 - 8 years… so I guess that I must have a limited idea of what I’m about to talk about I guess?… moving on…

…my Nephew has always dealt with his Tourettes and does whatever he can the best that he can… he’s genuinely embarrassed about having it and knows that swearing out loud at everybody is a bad thing to do socially and mostly manages to keep it under control god bless him… he’s genuinely embarrassed and makes me proud with his efforts to correct himself all of the time… because he’s trying to do something about it… he never used his Tourettes as a ‘tool’ or ‘weapon’ to get his own way in anything…

…my drinking mate of about 30 years deals with his Tourettes mostly with humour… when we were all playing darts and getting drunk together… sometimes when his Tourettes played up (it was quite rare) and he did swear at people he would always say things like “naaaah!… just joking mate… it’s just my Tourettes playing up… (after a well timed pause)… or was it?”… and he always followed it up with a belly laugh to put them at ease lol!… again… he never used his Tourettes as a ‘tool’ or ‘weapon’ to get his own way in anything…

…now the fellow employee… he was a shit piece of work until the company finally sacked him for interfering with a female employee during a company xmas party which was all caught on camera… (thank fuck)… but what he used to do was always be nasty and argumentative to everyone until he was eventually hauled off into the office before management to face the music and was confronted about it he would ALWAYSg play his ‘Tourettes card’ and proclaim that it was that reason that he said it and then do a fake apology which resulted in him getting off the hook each and every time… and because of that he became even more bolder…

…management were bending over backwards at the time in`trying to cater for the whole new range of ‘disabilities’ laws protecting people with various disabilities in the workforce… and he knew it!… he knew that he had by management by the short and curly’s…

…him getting out of trouble made him ‘bullet proof’… it then made him worse and worse… everybody were walking around on eggshells from then onwards… they were scared that they’d be accused of ‘picking on him because of his ‘disability’ by management…

…I digress… he was using his ‘Tourettes get out of gaol card’ as a tool or weapon to ‘terrorise’ and ‘intimidate’ people with careless abandon until he eventually got sacked for the reason above… when I see people with ‘Tourettes now I often wonder whether they are using their ‘Tourettes card’ to win against their relative or carer now… I hate myself for thinking that now… I hate that guy for making me be like that… I have a very high tolerance for people with any form of disability so I’m not saying this lightly…

…Conor is well and truly that third guy X 10 in my books… he will use his ‘Tourettes card’ every opportunity that he possibly can… he will sacrifice people… lie and cheat at every possibility… he will show no compassion whatsoever towards anyone… he will be able to shed a fake tear at the drop of a hat… and… at the moment Big Brother is well and truly planting their lips on his arse… and… he knows it…

…when I first saw him on the show and they said that he had ‘Tourettes’… I prayed that he wasn’t going to be the third guy… BUT HE IS!… and for that reason… I hate Conor and hope that he goes as soon as possible… again… if I’ve upset anyone… that was not my intent… I just felt that I needed to say it for my own reasons and sanity… sorry if it put anyone on a downer mood and also sorry that this became a short novel… cheers.
TLDR: Conor is an asshole who uses his Tourettes as a weapon. Got it.
