Oh no! I used to be a manager of people like that too and offered them a week off work if they had a beloved pet die. Even sent them flowers and in one case a rose bush, which she planted as a little memorial! My boss thought I was nuts until one of my pups died and he realised how upset I was and he gave me a week off too.
