Episode Day 37 (14/10/14) Double eviction (one fake)

Finished here. Who was that in the Borat mankini in the slideshow (after Sonia's cake photo)?

Sam presented ok onstage, it was about the right time for him to leave. Good that we get at least another week or so of the Cat & Lawson train wreck and hopefully Aisha and Sandra might give some interesting footage over the next day or so due to Travis and Sam leaving the house tonight. As for the fake eviction twist, hopefully they have something better planned for it than last year.

It just shows how unreliable that Jump-In site is. I think each week the one with the most saves, has been a surprise. Travis went from 2nd bottom last week, to having the most saves. I dont think they get too many votes. I guessed Sams time was up, when he had the none edit on Monday or Tuesday.
 
Overall thoughts: I haven't heard many people talking about voting, compared to last year. Maybe the voters are talking on other sites? I know the number of votes gives them an indication of how well the show is doing, they haven't said anything like "record number of votes" like they did last year.

Sam was an idiot to say "Lawson" when facing eviction or did he say "awesome?"

I can see Sandra and Lawson going next week. Sandra barely squeaked through this week.
 
It's odd how housemates you'd think the be funny from the first show turn out to be so dull. For e.g.. Sandra, Lawson, leo. I miss Tim... He was funny

I think it's a good thing. If it wasn't for that ditchpig Cat last week, it would've been two weeks in a row that Priya wasn't up for eviction. And the only other person who nommed her was Sam for two points last week and he's gone which means she's been traveling well in the house now unless something has happened that we weren't shown. Cat and Lawson don't like her but the others all seem to get on with her or at least don't have an issue with her that they've said outright so she doesn't need to serve them an excuse on a silver platter to go after her once she returned. Because as soon as Travis comes back, they're going to know why he was fake evicted and while it won't matter for him as he's been up every week anyway, we really don't want to give the others a reason to nom her. Of course with Sam and especially Travis out of the picture there are fewer people to nominate so we can only hope she's out of it this week too.

So yeah, I think it actually worked out as best as it could. Priya wouldn't have been helped by the fake eviction at all, Jason would've been a mess, the other three had no hope which we knew from the time they were nominated and Travis going back into the house is going to cause some drama and he's been nominated every week anyway. If Priya hadn't been up this week and I wanted to still vote, I would've thrown a few votes Travis' way. To me he was the best of a dire bunch other than Priya after having a good week and him being the fake evictee was really the ideal option. The look on Ryan's face alone - especially if he's up for eviction this week - will be worth it although seeing Sam's tonight when he was told Travis was fake evicted was pretty great too.

I did not want him gone over Sam, Lawson or Sandra. I have been feeling a bit bad for him. With all the guys alienating him & constantly being up for eviction He has seemed more genuine lately so I think they did him a favor.
And you are right. His return will be very enjoyable to watch.

I am guessing that Travis and Aisha share a lot of the same fans so with Aisha safe he got her fans votes as well.

He was like 'oh oh hi guys.. I'm not good at public speaking I'm so nervous'.. Then he did a recording for a promo that was going to be for a makeover for who the fake evictee was going to be. See, it's stuff like this that gets me fired up about this guy. He's an outright liar and his persona is as fake as f yet people still buy it! WHY?!

Somewhere between this season and last that TvFix site attached to ninemsn did an article about how Ben was just discovering social media, Grindr, etc (ETA I just looked and it was in November)

I sent an email to the journo saying you do realise this is all bullshit and he's had accounts on all, including Grindr before going into the house?

I get a response back from some Ch 9 PR flack saying they use all their resources at their disposal to vet the validity of interviewees and their statements. So I send back the screenshots of all the shit @Consuela found last year along with a comment about how if a person not employed as a journo can find this info in 5 minutes and disprove Ben's statements, surely all of their supposed resources would be able to suss it out. No reply.

THAT'S what shits me. People have schticks... fair enough. But they let their audience in on the joke. He is blatantly lying with all of this crap from his fake voice, fake oooh I knew nothing about social media, fake flubbing up/snorting/oh my I can't believe you know me bullshit after TELLING his social media fans to bombard BB so they let him go back into the house this season... You're surprised people know you yet you know how many social media followers you have and told total strangers to beg for you to be let back on a show you only made it halfway through last season. Yeah ok. He's the only reason I haven't bought that $500 package on their fundraising page yet. @SomeName reminded me of how much fun I'd have in the studio with them, etc and it's not much different than a night out but there's a big part of me that doesn't want HIM to succeed with this because he's full of shit.
