I think it's just Cat trying to deflect responsibility for what she and Lawson did in the sanctuary.

But I actually think she could be right. Emotional and physical abuse are probably the worst things you can do in a relationship, though I suppose cheating itself could be classed as an act of emotional abuse.

Yes it is a form of abuse IMO - and can't end not only relationships but lives as well can't wait to hear it in context.
