I haven’t seen a live show for so long. I suppose I should watch tonight! But also the whole thing is depressing and frustrating so maybe not.

I've basically been checked out since the halfway point, and I only kept watching because they'd announced the end date, but I will not be sad to see this series end. It's been a massive letdown compared to all the pre-launch hype we were fed. I really hope, with a bigger budget and maybe some fresh minds in the production team, they come back better next year.

I was hoping for Nine era return with the nomination booth and no contact with the outside world. The cast wasn't great, and likely Colin is winning tonight. Hopefully next year is a longer season. Thanks to everyone for the interaction this year!
A mere 30-day season and somehow it still feels like it's been going far too long.
I'm kinda relieved it's over tonight. I'm a little sad when I remember how hopeful I was about this revival before it started. I'm hoping they seriously re-consider many aspects of the show for a potentially longer run next year, but hey... I've learned it's best not to hold my breath.
As is a bit of tradition when a BBAU Finale comes around, I do want to acknowledge this website - especially @Tim, @Brekkie and @marquisite - and the members (past and present) who have kept this place alive for over two decades, both in and out of a Big Brother season. I truly believe there is no BBAU without BBBA. I may be bias but I believe this is the beating heart of the show's fandom in Australia, where people don't always agree with one another but can still come together and share one thing in common - an outlet to express their passion and love for a show that, at its core, is literally about bringing people from all walks of life together. We complain, we laugh, we argue, we can be intense (and sometimes we get overly excited about the appearance of chairs) but at the end of the day this little community can, and is, so much more.
I know I can speak for a few of us when I say that many of us also connect and chat outside of this forum just as much as we do on them. My own little tribe know who they are (
) and, if anything, it's comforting to have other like-minded people - whether it's here or that connection has expanded to social media or even real life - who you can share thoughts and even other parts of your own life with... all because of Big Brother and this forum.
Who knows where many of us will be next year (probably still here, lol) but thanks to everybody for making this show a lot more bearable when sometimes it gives us every reason to switch off.
See you all next year?

If there was no livestream, I would have stopped watching a couple weeks ago and maybe have watched in the future in a binge once all episodes were out. Livestream is a completely different experience, and not due to the daily show having limited time to show things but because the daily show edits housemates a certain way, ignoring any major events that display a character trait about them.
This cast was terrible, Abiola, Vinnie, Holly all have massive social media profiles, they let a 14 year old in the house, no gay male (Ed? hahahah).
The rules pretty much dont exist, the only strikes we know about were to Ed for the unwanted nudity and Bruce for the swearing his head off (Bruce never said it was a strike but he recently said they went off at him for how he acted, it was real bad, Ed at least said his was). At first Colin was told to stop with the fart stuff but that was never enforced, to this current moment he still farts around people, woffs it in their face and jokes about it. They were told not to interact with the ridegoers at first but that was never enforced and was even featured in the daily shows. Just recently Coco revealed that they were told to stop interacting with 2 people on the ride, Tiffany and Nick, they rode the ride everyday telling them stuff and interacting with them. The housemates especially Colin kept interacting with them even after being told to stop.
BB needs to be a controllive authority figure, the head of the social experiment, not someone that is just leading the tv set.
No special tasks to cause a stir except the BB hotel.
Constant talking to the cameras and talking to the audience.
What is this bullshit of talking aloud to go see big brother instead of walking to the diary room to see if the light is green.
Edit to add, the focus on romance? Wtf, Peter we get you produced married at first sight but relationships shouldnt be a focus storyline, it should be part of the natural social experiment that occurs to some housemates.
30 days is not enough imo for big brother to properly shine as a social experiment, these housemates have been complaining about being in the house, even bored and mentioned how can people do the older seasons where they were in the house for 60-90 days. Barely anything even happened .

I just wanted to thank everyone here for your company throughout this season.
I have enjoyed reading all of your comments. I often watch an episode and think Wow, I wonder what the BBB people thought about that. I'm so glad people on here call out on the show in its terrible moments. And thank you for all the funny posts.
It's so sad that this season didn't live up to any of the original Channel 10 seasons. I am so disappointed that this was what we got: the farts, the bad editing and everything feeling so cheap.
Now I only have one thing left to say:

It's crazy to think how short 30 days sounded when we first realised the season length, but it really has felt a little bit like a drag.
I've had to skip through the most recent episodes and relied on the live stream updates (which again, a massive thank you to everyone who keeps that updated).
I am hopeful but cautiously optimistic for next year. I hope there are some considerable discussions internally post season to make it bigger and better for next year and the feedback is considered to keep it on the air for a longer period! Mel and the live streams are easily some of the highlights for this year.
I've actually just started a rewatch of 2013, and as much as it has Sonia it still feels more BB than this current season.

I think Colin and Coco's positions are interchangeable but, if social media and the current polls are anything to go by, something tells me Coco might scrape through. Either way, I think they're all flops and Emily only takes the cake as the most deserving of an already dud bunch.

This was my first season actively engaging with you guys on here. Was a blast and thanks for the laughs.
This season was completely disappointing. Only 7 could rival this reboot flop. Given my location in the world I will not be staying up to watch because it’s just not worth it.
Here’s hoping next year that they’ve gotten their act together and deliver on the promise they made in the lead up to this season. With the involvement of Pete and Jonathon (who are well versed and experienced in how BB works) I’m actually shocked at how far off the mark this season landed.

going on the record as agreeing with this but with Coco and Emily swapped
yeah the FB polls make it look like it's between Coco and Emily (with Coco ahead), with Colin a very distant third. So I'd go with your list and switch Coco and Emily. I'd prefer Emily to win though.
