Episode Day 30 Finale Show - 8/12/2025

i hear ya....I feel at ease and smile when the likes of @bleachy_dude and @Mr Stickyfingers @Trala @beardymac and my long lost love @Consuela are online ,.,or have posted on the day ....gives me a sense of purpose to liaise with these folk each year :)

And the stalwarts like @the Theorist @MADONNA and of course my ex, @reepbot, this place is a necessary and pleasing escape from the cold hard reality of daily life....

,,,,i'm no Roberto Benigni, yet would blow you all quicker than Holly gets muzzled by producers et al tonite if she goes anyplace near a live microphone....
Speaking of, I hope wherever @Consuela is they are doing okay. Their presence has been sorely missed this season. And no annual Speccy Awards! 😭

Not to intrude but lots of love for all of you BBB OGs. You're all iconic. I especially have fond memories of being like 11 back in 2013 (far too young to be on here) and laughing at @Consuela's posts. I've enjoyed being able to contribute in a not super annoying way via the fan diary this year :)

In a world first, the winner won't be decided by the public vote. Rather, the three housemates with the lowest votes will be evicted, leaving a final two. The winner will be determined after a fight to the death.

Here's the footage from the Livestream. The final 2 are Emily and Colon.

BB Facebook saying there's a finale twist, one last "big temptation"

Yeah, was mentioned on the previous page. Looks like it might've been something that happened last night during the live stream downtime, so likely just another non-event. Either way, it’ll probably be another failed attempt to minimise the prize money again.

I basically checked out this past week. I just found this last part of the season rushed and Ill thought out with nothing worth watching other than a few things here and there. So yeah. A longer season is also a must to get to know the housemates.

I can't imagine how they are going to fill all 90 minutes tonight given the housemates did absolutely nothing today. I'm guessing we'll have a 10 minute season recap, every housemate will have a lengthy chat with Big Brother in the DR and then they'll go straight into the eviction results and winner announcement?

Anyway, I'm a bit bummed I won't be able to watch live tonight but I'm praying for the best possible outcome 🙏 (Colin not winning)

Maybe a 30-45 min daily show including the twist they are advertising? Eviction fallout from last night. 45-60 mins back to back evictions with interviews seems right. Plus the many ads they will have.

As is a bit of tradition when a BBAU Finale comes around, I do want to acknowledge this website - especially @Tim, @Brekkie and @marquisite - and the members (past and present) who have kept this place alive for over two decades, both in and out of a Big Brother season. I truly believe there is no BBAU without BBBA. I may be bias but I believe this is the beating heart of the show's fandom in Australia, where people don't always agree with one another but can still come together and share one thing in common - an outlet to express their passion and love for a show that, at its core, is literally about bringing people from all walks of life together. We complain, we laugh, we argue, we can be intense (and sometimes we get overly excited about the appearance of chairs) but at the end of the day this little community can, and is, so much more.

I could not have said this better.

Special mention to when you said "we can be intense (and sometimes we get overly excited about the appearance of chairs)". I LOL'd.

None of my personal acquaintances or friends watch BB. So I have nobody to "compare notes" with. BBBA makes up for that. And it makes up for it in spades.

"See you all next year?" Yep, you bet I'll be here!

Sadly, due to a planned Chrismas function, I will not be able to watch the episode as it airs tonight. So I will miss the banter and discussions here "as it all unfolds" in the forums. I am disappointed about that as dicussing the show as it happens is a lot of fun ... especially the finale.

I will be watching it later, after it has aired, and I'll visit this thread to see the comments and the aftermath.

Have fun tonight people ... and may Colin not win! (My personal preference is Emily; in my opinion, the best of a bad bunch.)

@Consuela is an icon.

Please feel free to delete if this isn't allowed, but I asked Chat GPT to make a prediction:

Here’s an objective probability-style breakdown based on typical Big Brother AU voting patterns, character archetypes, and late-season momentum. (This is not based on leaks — just analysis.)

Emily — 40%

  • Broad mainstream appeal
  • Consistent positive edit
  • Low-controversy players often dominate the public vote
  • High visibility with casual viewers
Colin — 30%
  • Strong late-game narrative
  • Underdog momentum
  • Appeals to viewers who don’t want the “obvious favourite” to win
  • If Emily splits the vote or stumbles in the edit, he becomes the winner
Coco — 15%
  • High entertainment value
  • Can pull a “chaos favourite” turnout
  • But polarising players rarely win BB AU
  • Needs a big final-week storyline to surge
Allana — 10%
  • Doesn’t have a strong hero or villain arc
  • Not disliked, but low-impact contestants struggle in public votes
  • Could overperform if she gets a sympathetic edit right at the end
Bruce — 5%
  • Too low-visibility or too divisive depending on edit
  • Needs an unlikely surge or a major collapse from others
