…evenin’ all… I have my Rum ready… some chocolate snacks and other nibblies ready… I’m going to sit back… relax… and try and enjoy this finale and… try not to have a rant tonight… my sweet darling wife told me that I was close to another stroke because I was so angry with the show last night… she’s warned me that she will shave my eyebrows in my sleep if I crack the shits tonight if I get upset like that again lol!… knowing her after being with her for 47 years… she means it!… lol!…

…I don’t care who wins but because my sweet darling wife wants Emily to win… that’ll do me…

…thanks everyone for providing all the fun this season… you all were the only redeeming feature of this season… for that… I thank you all… anyway… let the show begin!… let’s have (ahem) ‘fun’… cheers.
 
It feels odd to vote for Emily. To me, all she was good for was narrating for BB and doing secret tasks. Not much going for her otherwise. I was hoping to vote for someone else, but I honestly can't stand voting for anyone else.
 
Plot Twist: Mitch wins the show after successfully hiding in the BB tip, avoiding any detection.

I truly don't understand why nearly everything this season has had to be so directed and staged. They truly can't defend themselves anymore because we've seen it happen on the live stream every single day.

Basically nothing has been organic since day one, while everything has been manufactured and catered to the producers' every whim. Even something as meagre as where HMs sit on the couch.

Sigh.

I'm kinda relieved it's over tonight. I'm a little sad when I remember how hopeful I was about this revival before it started. I'm hoping they seriously re-consider many aspects of the show for a potentially longer run next year, but hey... I've learned it's best not to hold my breath.

As is a bit of tradition when a BBAU Finale comes around, I do want to acknowledge this website - especially @Tim, @Brekkie and @marquisite - and the members (past and present) who have kept this place alive for over two decades, both in and out of a Big Brother season. I truly believe there is no BBAU without BBBA. I may be bias but I believe this is the beating heart of the show's fandom in Australia, where people don't always agree with one another but can still come together and share one thing in common - an outlet to express their passion and love for a show that, at its core, is literally about bringing people from all walks of life together. We complain, we laugh, we argue, we can be intense (and sometimes we get overly excited about the appearance of chairs) but at the end of the day this little community can, and is, so much more.

I know I can speak for a few of us when I say that many of us also connect and chat outside of this forum just as much as we do on them. My own little tribe know who they are (🫶) and, if anything, it's comforting to have other like-minded people - whether it's here or that connection has expanded to social media or even real life - who you can share thoughts and even other parts of your own life with... all because of Big Brother and this forum.

Who knows where many of us will be next year (probably still here, lol) but thanks to everybody for making this show a lot more bearable when sometimes it gives us every reason to switch off.

Well, after two decades, sadly (or maybe fortunately for some) this season may have been my last hurrah posting in real-time... at least depending on what time of year the show airs next year. Take that as you will.

Fingers crossed I'll be able to stay active with you all.
