Episode Day 24 Daily Show and Overnight Eviction - 2/12/2025

My argument still stands. I don't see why, on a (mostly) live 24/7 show that the producers need to spin certain narratives or character arcs. It's streaming more or less 24/7 and airs 6 nights a week. The housemates are cast to create the content and Big Brother adds the tasks and challenges and keeps them in check (well, used to keep them in check).

If it was on once or twice a week on a heavy delay, or even pre-recorded, I could see the need to construct storylines and beats to fill out the limited air time, but with this format it's not required. It's almost like they're creating more work for themselves, and as a result they're crumbling under the unnecessary work load they've put onto themselves and providing a subpar product.

100% and I was saying exactly this earlier. Go back to being observational, fly on the wall stuff.

The editing of Vinnie’s eviction was evident of this, too. It was overly produced with clips shown out of order, which negated Vinnie’s true reaction to finding out he was leaving. Watch and listen to the HMs closesly during the whole scene, the continuity is completely off - no two shots line up chronologically, most notably Coco’s sentence which is (badly) cut up and separated (the end of her “where are we” sentence comes first, then the first part of the sentence is shown a few seconds later, none of which even happens at the right time as when they placed it). The shots of Vinnie from the promo also weren’t even used in the actual episode.

It was too produced - it would’ve had the same, if not more of an, impact if they just let it play out naturally. This is what they can get away with when they don’t have the raw live stream footage to back up their manufactured edit, like in Nine and Seven’s eras.

That was basis of the concept - leave them to there own devices - make their own fun, talk about what ever they like - devoid of all outside etc

Yeah Colin ain't perfect, but I respect that he's loyal to his friends and not a backstabber like Coco, who's now turned her back on Allana in the live streams.

The TV edit has heavily avoided showcasing this scheming side of Coco.
Yep 💯 , I think production is aiming for a Coco win tbh 😞

People have been complaining BB isn't mean enough this season, but for this he definitely had a dark sense of humour at least. $50 coffee.
$50 for a kilo of beans isn't all that bad - i pay $27/month for 500g of whole beans from a specialty roaster, which includes shipping.

I pay US $6.30 for 1kg at the supermarket here. Local roaster. Less than $10 AUD. Perks of living in a developing country I guess. I'd probably be shocked by Aus supermarket prices now, by the sounds of it.

Does anyone know what the gist of tonight’s live show is at all? I’m hella confused as to whatever plan they’ve concocted to try trick us with 🤣

Nominations + interviewing the evictee (Vinnie). Exactly the same as a normal Monday live show.

Ugh fine I’ll watch 😂😂 I read the live stream chat and saw that 4 housemates will be up for eviction. I’m assuming it’ll be a double then for Sunday with 5 finalists on Monday night? Hoping for some sort of shock twist and someone leaves tonight

Apparently there will be another backdoor eviction either late tonight or tomorrow, before Sunday.

I wonder if they’ll do things differently. Last night’s eviction of Vinnie caused no change, if anything a decrease WoW, to ratings. We shall see I guess

Since they're interviewing Vinnie anyway it would have made more sense to just evict him tonight. Its not like nominations also could not happen just as quickly now that theres only 7 to nominate.

If they want to improve ratings they should put Holly back in as an intruder….,👹
Well they did bring Tully back after she got evicted. It was for a task when the housemates had to freeze and not react to things going on around them. She came back in and kissed Drew and whispered something in his ear if I remember right.

Be awesome if they were doing the freeze task now to do similar but unfortunately not.
