Episode Day 24 Daily Show and Overnight Eviction - 2/12/2025

Looking forward to seeing how they actually did the eviction. And I don't even care they didn't show it on the feed. But then it was only 9-10pm here so I didn't lose any sleep. One of the few perks of living is such a deficient time zone.

Same I hope it was hectic sirens and shit mixed in with Jingle Bells 🤣
 
I'm expecting a cliffhanger at the end of tonight's show.
You'll see them do the carols and then BB announce to the effect of "Vinnie, Coco, Emily, one of you will be leaving the house immediately."
Cue a bunch of shocked faces and a bunch of "OMG WHO'S GOING?"
Followed by Mike Goldman with the, "Dreamworld, the home of Big Brother".

Then on Wednesday's live show, it will be Mel with, "OMG you guys, someone left the house in the middle of the night. They're right behind this door. Who is it?" And then they'll finally reveal it was Vinnie. And it may also be that this was actually the mid-week eviction they've been teasing.

I hope I'm wrong, but seeing all of the colossally terrible decisions the producers have been making so far, it really wouldn't surprise me.

Imagine having that kind of organic hype where livestream viewers skyrocket to the thousands at 1am... ON A WORK NIGHT. And instead of going with the flow, you decide (for whatever reason) that you're not going to air it. There's NO point being so secretive.

People aren't tuning into the daily shows for ~exclusive content~ or ~reveals~. They watch it because they're invested. And the livestream is just one way to get people invested. If you cut the cameras during pivotal moments, people lose interest and viewership dies off.

Last night was shambles, especially as almost 10k people tuned in at midnight to watch live, as well as today where they are still cutting away and even zooming in to crop shots as though everyone doesn’t already know what happened.

This is by far the worst managed and poorly produced season of BBAU, run by clearly incompetent people who beggar belief how they were hired in the first place. Ten should be embarrassed.

Maybe production is only pretending to be this incompetent, to desperately hide how much they have rigged the outcomes... They know exactly what they are doing, because all conversation translates to views.

I think it's more that they don't care about anything except the TV ratings. The side effects of this are:
  • They're paranoid about anything that they perceive could jeopardise the ratings, which is why the live stream is being cut so much more lately.
  • They don't want to try anything new
  • They fall back into tired Australian TV tropes - white het couples
  • They emulate Love Island
  • They're scared of airing any kind of organic content. Everything must be tightly controlled with diary room cutaways where housemates have been prompted to give narration. There hasn't been one daily show where they let a scene play out naturally.
So all in all, paranoia and lack of production talent is the defining characteristic of this season's daily shows.

The thing is, even if people knew Vinnie was evicted, they would still tune in to see it on TV and also see his interview. But you won't be able to convince paranoid production this.

Yes I agree how fake the show has turned out when everyone in the house dislike Conner yet Vinnie whos been nice enough hasnt yelled at anyone like Conner has specially towards Holly & yet Conner didnt receive as many points against him. They just suddenly turned against Vinnie & made him the target. It worked & now the house mates are all happy skipping around now they have gotten rid of polite Vinnie

There was literally an official statement about abiola leaving and people still tuned in to watch the show when she left. It's so dumb
