Episode Day 24 (21/08/13): BB Tear down that wall

Thoughts:

-What Matt said sounded really sexist, like how he's the 'master' of the halfway house, he's going to try to take control, etc. I know it was a joke but it still sounded bad.

-Tully was going to cry when she got a strike but she didn't!!! She also stopped herself from crying when Ben's mum came up on the screen and Tully was presumably thinking about her own mum. I think she's getting better at controlling her emotions.

-I was really impressed with Ed. He couldn't even go near a banana at first but he managed to keep eating them until he threw up. That's the first interesting thing he's done in the house.

-Ben calling Tim a dickwad was hilarious. As others have said, I think there's more to Ben than what we're seeing. He's putting on an act.

-If Heidi's edit is true to what she's actually like, I'm starting to think she doesn't have anything to redeem herself for just constantly gossiping. I don't have a problem with the HMs gossiping but Heidi just doesn't seem to have anything other than that to contribute.

-Lucy needs to shut up for a minute and let Katie speak because I don't think she's said anything other than "yeah, yeah, yea-" in weeks. But I was also impressed with them for being so willing to get all those fake tans.
 
I commented yesterday that they allowed "shit" on the updates but not on the show. Maybe they took notice but the transcribers haven't caught up yet.

I really want the sisters separated so Katie can speak as well!!! Essentially we have zero idea who Katie is at this stage. Agree also re Matt, Ed and Ben and that not seeing Tully cry was refreshingly nice.

For once I'm happy about something :D Even sent a positive tweet to Alex :p

One thing I have noticed with the tasks this year is more of them seen to have a predetermined winning threshold - such as the amount of ice cream scoops in the ice cream challenge (though I guess crew could change it while HM's are sleeping). The current task with the lottery balls is even more interesting as even the task producers aren't really going to know full if the task passes or fails until the ball is drawn. So well done with that as well.

random thoughts:

- so glad to have no sonia. i actually feel relieved when i realise it's a host-free night

- it's a shame the wall didn't stay up longer. I think the friction between the boys would have been interesting - squabbling over food and cleaning.

- totally loved the sisters remaining positive throughout the tanning gag (even if it was stolen directly from BBUK). If only they'd gone a step further and actually made the girls wear green wigs and white overalls to bring the oompaloompa more to life. but seriously, heaps of credit on these two staying true.

- speaking of the sisters, they had such nice things to say about jade, I think i learned all I need to know about her. they're pretty one-dimensional, but they're pretty perceptive in that dimension. it reassures me that my earlier judgement that jade has no guile was correct

- tahan "forgetting" her conflict with the sisters when BB asked her why she might have been nominated is, sadly, indicative of her delusions. and I really wanted to like her

- i had to cringe at the affection tully is showing drew. gay, straight, bi - I know you're in a closed environment with minimal social options, but you don't disrespect your partner by stroking the arm, leg, stomach, and hair of another person, and then get into some spooning. that makes you a cheating scumbag. (Mrs. Riddim says i'll find the locks changed and my shit on the lawn in tatters if that happens)

- oh and, hello, tully acting all "look at my stomach drew" is up there with jade's "my undies are see-through, ed". at least jade is single when she's doing it. commence dumping on tully for being as bad as all the names you called jade, people.

- completely over ben, finding myself FFwding every time he's on the screen. he's more devious than he naive persona suggests, playing up the communications to his mum and nana when BB gave him the choice to visit in the diary room, and again later when talking to Tim. and he doesn't like the dog? He's fake, he's worn thin, it's time to go. (and don't get me started on the creepy "sniffing the diary room chair" part. i feel like i need a shower and some antibiotics)

- oh hey, look, heidi is still there. what's she up to? just gossiping about everyone else. next.

- love how mikayla has bonded with Clooney. tells me everything i need to know about her. I also enjoyed her diary room visits.

- caleb is still a creeper. the whole "don't want to work out without matt" thing was just cringe-worthy.

- wasn't it awesome to see an adult conversation on racism? hot damn, more of that BB. that said, I think we should get rid of those two... what do you call them... link: the word has a couple of g's, an r and an e... an i and an n...
 
Tweeted Alex to see if the bedroom transformation would get a similar package (possibly via the website only?) and it seems like it will - in fact he tweeted [MENTION=34005]bbau[/MENTION]9 direct to ask them :p

Tully commented in a video talking to Tim that " I could see myself married to a man in 5 years " she also said she has changed a lot of her thinking since she came into the house. Run a mile Drew as quickly as you can!

I know every one is sick of hearing about Estelle but Tim and her would have had some interesting conversations about unicorns last year. hahaha
Not a bad show tonight some funny moments.
