First up, if you looked closely you would have noticed one of the crew members was leaning against a matress which was up against the doorway so they couldnt get through or see over the top. Plus, I wouldnt be surprised if they were told they could not leave the bedrooms.

They're not allowed to. In this circumstance, BB would lock the bedroom doors tho. They would be told that things like that are common occurrences during their time in the house, like in past BB's. Plus, in general when it's absolutely silent at night, you'd be able to hear the cameramen walking around, etc. You just learn to ignore it, so it's not unusual.
