Isn't there some sort of broadcast regulation of how much content a show has to provide vs ads? I could've sworn there is... or maybe that's the US

I think it's about 15minutes per hour -- but I think they can average that over the prime time.

I'm guessing the Block didn't have many ads and they don't want many ads in the Footy show as it's a special (Telethon) so cramming them all into Big brother.
