Went to the movies with all my mates last night. It was a lonely affair. Anyone keen to join me next time I go? #lonerism

I'm assuming you reach into the popcorn to grab popcorn, but you grab a DIAB (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=diab)
Well, that would either escalate a first date rather quickly, or end it real sudden. :laugh: The only "trick" I know with popcorn is to make it magically disappear - into my tummy. I'm so old school though, I make it on the stove in a saucepan with a lid using olive or coconut oil, so much healthier and nicer knowing what's actually in it.

hey that's the only trick I know too! I just also know how popular this song was around me lol. so the first thing when pawlini posted that was this song haha

oh gawd! I shouldn't know this.

@Kismet, that's the one! The Saturday night live one with Jimmy Fallon is the more recognizable one for me.

You and I are clearly naive when it comes to this thing. Yes.. making home made kettle corn was my "popcorn trick" too.

@David Hodis ...a question that needs answering. Which is your favourite "popcorn trick"?:sneaky:

Being the only ones in a movie theatre is the best! No one rustling chip bags, or talking, or people coming and going. That is movie perfection right there!
I LOVE being the only one in a cinema. I can stand up when I feel like it. Middle of the back row under the projector. If the arms go up I can recline and not get in anyone's way.

I laugh at our local theatre they give you assigned seats even when it is not busy. My husband and I have been in there with maybe 4 other people in the whole theatre - why bother assigning seats for that? We sit where we want - I would laugh if one day someone sat in someone elses assigned seats and they kicked up a fuss about it - I bet it does happen though![DOUBLEPOST=1418259322][/DOUBLEPOST]
:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

hopefully the salt doesn't chafe lol
ouch!

I remember my first time in gold class with my friend and it was empty and we ordered nachos and I spilled it all down the front of me cause that's how classy I am and we talked through the whole film, narrating it then the movie ended and a couple from up the back stood up gave us a filthy look and left. so we really weren't alone. oops.

Also I find it hard to believe Dave is a nigel no friends as he claims, its just a ploy to get girls to go on dates with him lol I mean if he had no friends who were those guys in Adelaide and why do the HMs hang out with him?

Just under the projector is best, it's cool when you can hear the mysterious person in the projector room doing their thing. In fact, my favourite thing is when movies break down and you can hear the mad scramble and then the announcements. You remember that old Sandra Bullock movie The Net? I never did see the end of that. It got to the good bit, it broke, and a full cinema of people on a Saturday night waited 20 minutes for an ending that never came. My most recent cinema "fail" was ace and it happened really recently, in the darkness and silence someone decided to sing us a song, using a doof-doof beat on their mobile. Everyone clapped and cheered, it was better than the movie.

I have to sit as far back as possible as I am long sighted. Closer up and it gets very hard for me to focus and my vertigo can kick in, especially on the really large screens when you are almost swivelling your head to see it all.
