If it was meant to be part of a hate campaign against him (which I don't think it was) they failed epically at it IMO because all it did was remind everyone of how switched on he is.

didn't think of it that way, good point. it adds up with the little footage we saw of him tonight too

I wouldn't worry too much yet. When the producers want to start a hate campaign they make it extremely obvious. He's getting good edits some nights and when they start a hate campaign the first thing they do is give the HM terrible edits week in week out. After that they start taking cracks at them in the articles on the official site and on the voice overs. Finally any positives comments about that HM will be deleted from the FB page. When that stuff starts happening I'll worry.

Me? Well I personally thought it made it seem like David was encouraging them to be together as a gameplay, because before that clip, Sonia asked clawson or lead them to believe that hms were encouraging them to be together to save themselves. That clip of david is recent while clawson have been on for more than a month now. I feel bb is setting david up for a hate campaign or a down fall and I'm quite worried in all honesty

I don't think bb is trying to set up a hate campaign for David considering that the audience reacted well to his power play last night. By replaying it in front of clawson, I think it made it better. But now that David is HoH (yay), we can see if bb is trying to position us to like/hate him when he's exercising his new-found powers this week.

The only other thought that comes to mind after reading Gemini's post is that maybe bb has seen how strategic and intelligent David is, and is slowly paving the way to show more of this. That kind of excites me. Oh I hope he plays that HoH role well!
 
I loved seeing David and Priya having their little talk tonight, he seemed to be catching her up on his insights on the new people, and both of them looked extremely comfortable being able to talk openly about that. Made me realise that these two have obviously had lots of discussions before and I saw a level of respect between them. I think they both know each other well and have that mutual understanding of how each other thinks, even if they're not 'buddies' on a touchy feely level I think more than anyone in the house they both get it.
 
Can't wait to see David with the power play tomorrow night. Fingers crossed he channels his inner strategy Dave to get all his main competition up. Hopefully he isn't up either. If I were him i'd just split the points between his main threats which I believe are Skye, Ryan and Priya.

Priya chatting/confiding in the Head of House in private? She's never done that before…

I think they both mutually know they're both playing the game as hard as each other. But Priya is so transparent each week all of a sudden approaching and confiding in her new best friend HOH.

He's been playing as honest a game as possible. They cannot fault him for that.

Priya's game every week is to befriend the HoH. It's No. 1 on her strategy list. Like you said, it's so transparent.

I don't agree that it had to do with HOH.
It was obvious by the way they had spoken many times in that way.
She knew that David would be paying attention to the new people and she was interested in his thoughts seeing she'd just gotten back from the sanctuary.
 
If David nominates Ryan, I won't be very happy. David is the only person other than Ryan that I like and he will just make me turn off him. It's probably a stupid reason but I can't help it. They both haven't nominated each other yet (I think) and they have a pretty close friendship and I don't want to think that David will throw him under the bus like that.

Yes but in general she has a habit of befriending the head of house. They are obviously comfortable with each other.

I hope David can get rid of some of the intruders.
