David Appreciation Thread

Has Priya defended David when other HM's have shut him down when he has been talking.
Also Priya the other day was talking to Aisha about how she doesn't like him.

If David is HOH watch her flock to him, because he has some power. She will be like a moth to a flame.
 
Look, Priya is vulnerable because she has no allies. But David has been in the exact same situation the entire game. It's not game ending because it's the public who ultimately vote. But Priya is not attempting to ingratiate herself to the new intruders whatsoever. While trying to assert dominance, she's getting called out on being defensive and that made her crack. She's forgetting the new four are going to have 5 votes like everyone else. Being friendly hasn't worked (her friends have been evicted) so she's gone back to her moves of guilt, pressure and intimidation. Problem is, those tactics don't fly with David and she knows it, making him enemy number one. I've lost all hope of those two ever working together because until the intruders arrived they were the only two in the house with any sign of brain cell activity.
 
What really annoys me is the whole "respect for women" that gets thrown around way too often for no reason. I say, don't interact with her anymore unless it's on an intellectual level because she doesn't know how to have fun.

Wait, he's getting called AUTISTIC too? Fucking hell. I work with autistic kids...David is not autistic...I find it incredibly disrespectful that people are throwing the autism label around like it's a bad thing.

I still remember people here last year trying to say that Jade was autistic too. I don't think the people throwing that around have any idea what it really is tbh...which doesn't surprise me considering people here don't seem to understand what racism is either.

I know they all want to win, but new HM's come in & her DR talk, she said is it's more people to beat.

David talking about the new HM's, he said it's other people to talk too.
 
Yeah the shit that has been throw at David these past few days is really getting to me. Thank god for this thread....

I just want to make one point about this autism/asperger's thing.... This is BB on channel NINE, they would NEVER EVER put someone in the house that had either of those. That it way too diverse and progressive for channel Nine.

I know I said last night I wasn't going to comment on this situation but some of the stuff being said in here is just so way off base that it's actually making me want to stop coming in a thread I've been a part of from the start because some of the discussion in here has become so one-eyed.

Priya and David obviously have a friendship. They both referred several times to their "witty banter" and Priya even said that she knew what David was saying out by the pool was a joke because they have that relationship. Just because Ch 9 doesn't feel it's important to show, it IS there and they both acknowledged it repeatedly. I also haven't seen anyone, not one single person, mention the context of what happened in the pool. That morning David had gone into the Sanctuary for breakfast with the newbies. Next minute she's got two of the newbies not only chanting at her, but one of them charging over to her and standing over her feeling the need to "defend poor David" against Priya when Priya wasn't even able to speak. Oh sorry, she tried, but Ch 9 had to put bloody subtitles up because they kept chanting over her. THAT'S what Priya was seeing. And anyone else who wasn't ardently pro one team or another that they can't evaluate a situation fairly. Her issue was NOT with David as she said. And in the Sanctuary Richard named Priya as the person he found the most interesting so obviously she's been chatting with him at least in the very limited time she's had to spend with them. So your whole thesis about the newbies doesn't fly either. In fact, I could turn it around and say what in the hell is wrong with David that his only friend in the house after 50+ days is a guy who lost all his other friends so now only bothers with David because he has no lapdogs left. Priya has Skye and Aisha. She also had Jason and even Marina. David had.... well I guess we could say Sandra but ummm, no.

Anyway, I'm going to leave y'all in this thread because it seems some of you got sucked in just like @Connoisseur wanted you to and are now making it a David vs Priya thing when even they both said it wasn't. Not enjoyable to read as a fan of both of them so I'll just leave you guys to it and cross my fingers they're both not only saved but go much farther in this GAME where they're BOTH trying to win money. :)
 
I usually find if a number of threads pop up for one housemate all of a sudden it means that people are feeling a bit pressed. I wish support for someone didn't have to mean dragging someone else down with multiple denigrating threads. I'd take it as a compliment that David is clearly on their minds :) :)
Hell I might even borrow one of these from @Connoisseur :whistling:
 
@Mrs Butterface I'm not buying into any of the bullshit either. I enjoy @Connoisseur and have even been the victim of some of his interactions but I take it all in a good natured way. I love both D and P and refuse to let people on the forums who LIVE for this shit ruin the experience for me. I LOVE reading your posts so hope you'll reconsider. XX

And there's always the safe haven of @Sweetgeek who you can always rely on to put a smile on your face and bring some clarity. X
 
God I just watched it again and Priya totally twisted Dave's words. He said sometimes it helps to just let women tear shreds off him, obviously something he's had to do in there since people constantly seem to be picking on his every word. She then went and told Skye and Aisha that he said something about not having to listen when a woman spoke to him?? Wtf that is nothing like what he said! Then she said Tom jumped up to defend Dave, which he did not. He was making a joke standing in a "macho" stance pretending to back Dave up. Tom and stuff are new, they're trying to fit in, joining in on joking around is usually how people do that. She's just made sure they'll never go to her for a laugh. Jesus.

I actually liked Priya, I love strong, intelligent women and she embodies that. But I just feel like she's letting this game get to her, especially since she's losing all her closest allies. Maybe she should be getting these more intellectual people onside rather than spending all her time with Skye and Aisha?
 
OK I think I should just put it out there that I am a Priya and David fan and absolutely hate that their argument has divided the forum.... Well tbh it was bound the happen that the 2 most popular HMs on BBB would get into an argument at some point.
And my post above was more to do with the shit that David is getting in other threads like is he a virgin etc.....

I have no problem with Priya fans at all.

I've seen just as many one-eyed opinions in the Priya thread to be fair.
I think the majority can see both sides and where they were coming from.
I think David likes people he can talk to and I believe he does count Priya amongst them so I'm not really sure what the lapdogs thing was about.

Exactly, it's the number of hate threads that have popped up that is disappointing.
Differences of opinion are one thing but I know for me I find some of the over the top comments repulsive.

What I find weird is that the drama on the forum (where we don't have the pressures of the house) is totally out of proportion to the actual event where they both talked and sorted it out like adults.

It's like that in both threads tbh. but I'm not going to be sucked in by it and will just continue supporting both and evaluating just the situation and not actually tearing one or the other down to make my point. They are both good people essentially and the bs about david being sexist, racist, autism etc is annoying as well as priya defending herself makes her a manipulator is just as frustrating.

Support both and don't care about the rest.

I believe the number of hate threads is in direct proportion to those forum users feeling threatened. All in all, irrelevant. :)
