I think she really is interested in David and wants to understand him better and I really like that. For once he probably feels like someone wants to know of him rather than him ask them questions. A nice change I think

Don't even worry about it hon xo

People will jump on anything tiny and run with it...hence why I cringed when he started talking about cultural differences because I knew some people would jump on it and make something out of it which wasn't there...as they have now by running with him being "racist" :rolleyes:

Doesn't make either true though :)

I absolutely don't think the boys meant any malice by it (David and Travis obviously think they're close enough to her to joke around and the newbies just wanted to fit in) but I can see why she would have been uncomfortable...especially Priya whom I'm sure would have been ashamed by failing the task so they were hitting a sore spot.

The level of telling off though was way over the top considering they didn't mean anything by it.

My "fucking himself over" comment was in relation to his cultural misunderstanding comment to Priya. I absolutely don't think it was meant to be racist (more a case of Dave's foot in mouth disease) but people will jump on that sort of thing.

BUT todays show made him look kind of 'racist' or at least people on facebook seem to think so. I know what you mean and I almost had to look at away. What happened in the pool with Priya was not great and she had every right to feel uncomfortable. I was happy seeing that was prior to the eviction, then once Marina was evicted they showed David comforting Priya so at least it wasn't an on going issue. Or so the edit would allow! It's nice to see Lina making an effort in finding out what has made him develop a thick skin based on her observations so far. The best bit though, was THE SHAVE! I can kinda understand a little where Priya was coming from even though she was over-reacting, she would have been comfortable, if it was just Travis, David and her joking around like they usually do, but she's already stressed with the newbies in the house and the no sleep task...she doesn't want to befriend the new guys.
I think even though she had a problem with the 4 guys, she pulled David aside because she knew they could talk to each other and clear the air, which is appears they did as they went together to talk to the other guys about it. (to him it's just another one of the many drama's in the house, you resolve it and move on)...we saw Travis telling Ryan, and the new guys saying they just had taste of BB life with little things blowing up

As for David joking he lets the female tear shreds etc , I think it's just his way to let someone get their point across, so they can blow off steam, clear the air and then move on...he was quick to comfort Lisa after their spa fight, and never harped on again about it. Although Lisa did go and tell Cat the next day about it, and laughed that she called David a hairy dwarf

yeah I just saw that thread:(...not sure if anyone has defended David yet but those threads usually disappear onto pg 2 by the next day after some posters have had their rant, so I try not to reply/bump them unless someone has lied, or totally twisted somethingnono.gif

It seems David and Priya sorted out their differences over that latest drama but those two love playing the game, and see each other as threats but still seem to get along at other times as well.

The "I let's them tear strips off me" comment is the clear sign of a pacifist in my opinion. I honestly think he doesn't want to be involved in these blow-ups, they seem to come to him, mainly because he has a snark, a dry sarcastic wit, and sometimes lacks a filter. One thing that works to his advantage is the ability to discuss issues in an adult manner without making things personal or losing his cool.

It's interesting watching him, he seems to launch into opinionated talk quite often with very little prompting. He's craving a confidante. Sometimes I will him to close his mouth just for a second. He's revealing a little too much of his opinions, his strategy, his way of thinking at times. It's making him a target, but he's clearly chosen to play the game this way.
