David Appreciation Thread

David's is getting an awesome edit so we can't complain too much if he is MIA some episodes. He's being portrayed as strong (yet vulnerable), a loner (yet surviving), emotional (yet resilient), compassionate (yet not afraid to speak his mind). It's no surprise to me that he has a hoard of female fans. You can see it written all over his face that he wants to stay in the house. He's never portrayed complaining about petty stuff. I think he has grown to be one of the producers favourites and may (fingers crossed) be given a winning edit. Voters perceptions of the housemates are at the mercy of the editors, they can sink or swim a housemate in the space of five minutes. Right now, they seem to be on our side (so thank you for that!)

yeah positive edits lately, even if not much airtime

I also think David has quite a few guy fans here?

ya think lawon is playing the viewer? no shit Sherlock.

I might have been stating the obvious, but my point wasn't so much about the fact that he is conning the viewers...and more about the lengths he will go to do it. Kicking the "cat shit" aside, if he can go so low as to use his dead mum to garner sympathy votes..he is capable of anything.

Speaking of background David (which I'll admit I find more interesting than most of the foreground action) did anyone else catch his shout-out to "beautiful Ophelia" during one of the evictions episodes? It was hidden amongst the chatter of all the housemates when they think Sonia has checked out of a cross, but it was pretty clear.

Just finally watched latest ep. No David...hmmph. :shifty:

I have to vent about hot-mess Sandra, though. She was pissing me off with her judgemental opinions on what Cat and Lawson should be doing. Not that I don't agree with the topic of conversation, but wasn't hot-mess the one who was asking Lawson how she can move her relationship with Sam past the friendship stage...with no regard to his partner? In fact, didn't she have a fit about not being asked to the sanctuary by Sam...and during that fit, made a snide remark about his partner always going to be in the way when they get out of the house? All this criticism about the sanctuary stay, the flirting, massages, etc. is so hypocritical. Sandra would gladly be in Cat's shoes in a split second...if Sam had allowed it to happen. Somehow, when getting shot down...she fell onto her high horse...and is still sharing bed cuddles and back massages with Sam while she is up there. :bored:

Rant over...

Never done this before but bumping the thread up. I don't like David so far down the page. I really like him nd think he has a lot more to offer than we are getting to see. Id idn't like his beard or how he talked about it in the beginning. But shaving has seemed to make him more open to the experience. It's like they took his Wooby away.

I wonder how long his beard will be by the time he wins. :) Yep, I'm calling it.
If he doesn't, then he'll come 2nd or 3rd.
He's growing it to shave it for the finale I'm guessing, re-using a card up his sleeve so-to-speak. It worked wonders the first time he did it and could again make a difference in the final weeks.
