I'm glad tim persuaded him to shave it off and glad that David made it understood (well to me) that it wasn't so the girls like him and to fit in but to place himself in the game as a contender. He is not just the beard boy, and now he doesn't have the beard to hide behind.
Tim made it known to the hms that Davis is a contender by saying he was interesting. Travis picked up on it. If there was ever a hint, this was it!
Davis had the greatest opportunity to sit and talk to tim and I hope that the audience takes notice and view David differently too.

yeah apart from David shaving the beard. I wonder what the HM's reactions/thoughts will be with Tim taking David to the Sanctuary suite because he thinks David is Interesting....bet Travis and the others are worried lol
Has it put a bigger target on David's back when it comes to Nominations, at least David appears to be getting more support from the public as time goes by...
I think it will make him a target to some of the boys. But it's the reactions from the others that will have the big consequences. I'm hoping that the hms who suck up to travis and co will now feel less inclined to because they made the connection that it looks like David is the hm that is talked about in the outside. So let's hope for all the targets the cool group will throw. The other hms will slowly part with then and team with David. I hope anyways

The other night after Travis was giving 'advice' to David, Sam piped up to not take any notice of Travis. It will be good once the pairs finish up. Just hope David gets through this eviction day now.

Hair today, gone tomorrow! Tim convinced David to shave his impressive beard that he had been growing and manscaping for nine months
Telling David that he needs a bold move to turn his strategy around, Tim encourages David to shave his beard.
At first he's reluctant because he believes 'the beard is what got' him into Big Brother in the first place.
'Is the beard going to make you win Big Brother? I contemplated shaving my head in the final few weeks of the game,' Tim tells him.
After some arm twisting, David asks Tim, 'Would you do it for me?'
'Big Brother, can we get some clippers in here? We are getting rid of a beard tonight!' Tim declared.

Just watched, and I'm still unsure of how I feel about him shaving. I'm glad he at least put up a fight, and I completely understood his reasons for not wanting to shave. But, as much as I hate to say it, Tim had a point. I think it shows he's willing to do whatever to stay. I absolutely this will benefit him and keep him in the house, so for that reason, I'm glad he shaved. As his partner is going down, I'm liking him a little more.

Don't know if anyone has said this before but he reminds me of Mr. Frodo. I think it is his eyes. So excited to see where his beard shaving will take him and glad Tim is taking him under his wing. Good luck David .
.Unlike Gemma, I think being the outcast is working in his favor. Viewers are not seeing it the same way the people in the house are. In fact, I think David will be the reason they'll be safe, moreso than Sandra, at this point. I don't think he needed to shave the beard to get the votes, but I think it will surely help.

I think it's great he shaved the beard, it just did not suit him, plus he had only been growing it for 9 months, so not like it was an inherent part of his appearance. He can finally now be himself instead of some 'image' he thinks makes him look cool to assist in gaining approval from his peers.
I see dave as one of those guys that jumped on the beard bandwagon because FHM had done a story about how it assists in getting laid and is 'on trend' right now, more so than for convenience in not wanting to shave everyday.
Hopefully he shaved his awkwardness off with the beard....

So glad. He enjoyed being treated like a human being by Tim, appreciated having the treat of the sanctuary, took the hot tip it would enhance his appeal to the public, thank god, him being singled out by Tim put the fear of god into Travvie, and seeing his eyes all lighted up was worth staying up rilly, rilly late for - even if I did have to watch smarmy fake attractions for the whole previous fifty-five minutes.
I really don't understand the view that he's selling out or conforming by shaving it off.
Unfortunately people do judge others and dismiss them based on their looks. I feel a lot in the house do (Lisa in particular) and judging by that poll it seems many viewers have too. At the end of the day it's just facial hair and if removing it allows others to give him a chance and actually see and appreciate his personality then I think that's a good thing.
It's obvious David doesn't like the fact that the others have already written him off. It's clearly causing him anguish, enough to bring it up at dinner. If making a statement like this can help a few of them give him a chance or help the public see past the beard to his personality then I think it can only be a good thing. Like Tim said, a beard won't win him Big Brother, and I'm sure David himself would like the public to get to know his personality rather than just be known as the guy with the ugly beard.

It doesn't really matter if he hooks up since he will be playing as an individual player, if he survives eviction this week
@BigSisterEm do you think Dave has a little crush on Sandra, or is it more that he wanted to look after her since she was his Pair, and just still likes her as a good friend atm?
@Veronica2005, I don't actually know what kind of girl would get David crushing but she does seem to tick a lot of his boxes. I think being in the pair has definitely helped their relationship to flourish and both of them have had the opportunity to get to know and understand each other better. It's been an accelerated friendship and I think he genuinely likes her in that sense and will continue to like her post pair split.
It's not very conclusive (sorry, I'm libra!) but I'm 50/50 on them hooking up. In any case, I'll probably have to look away if they do mack on in the spa!

Hi Guys!
I've finally found my way to Dave's appreciation thread. yep we auditioned together in Sydney and got far in the process.
A fun fact Dave and I were both fast tracked this year after sending videos in.
In our 10 person chat with chris blackburn and jaalya webster Dave's line was that he looked like Tobey Macquire.
We had a ball together before our one on one's with Alex.
I feel after watching him closely he hasn't come out of his shell properly as he felt he couldnt relate to the other housemates.
Oddly enough during auditions there was no sign of his awkwardness etc around women so that's been a surprise watching him. Anyway we'll see what happens.
