David Appreciation Thread

So sick of them saying stuff like "strategy Dave" when Big Brother gives him the challenge but anyone else does something for fun and then the asshole say "leave him up there till dinner" think that was Jake? lucky he just brushes it off
I'm sure it was Jason who said "leave him up there till dinner"

maybe them calling out Strategy Dave, will make him think twice about talking strategy with some of them...probably still trusts Sam and Sandra though

It's funny though because if Sam and his group eventually get rid of everyone they don't want, they will all eventually have to turn on each other to win the game.

I'm really feeling for David this week. I hope he gets saved.
I wonder who Cat will take into the power room/treehouse to talk strategy? Skye and ?
Cat has nominated David twice for talking strategy because she doesn't like it... it will be interesting to see what she comes up with

His group won't get that far. The others are clearly not thinking yet, but maybe this will be the week. It was VERY clear who wasn't nominated, and the house has to start playing more strategically. Because they are allowed to talk strategy, which I still hate, it's time for someone to point out that the Sam/Lawson group needs to be broken up. Fingers absolutely crossed 2 of them are nominated. If not, I won't feel bad for the house. There are more not in the group than there are, and they should be gunning for them.

If the final four turn out to be Cat, Lawson, Sam, and Sandra then they won't have to turn on each other because nominations should be over for the season.[DOUBLEPOST=1412352516][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ouch...Jason just dropped out of my second fave spot with that comment. He should spend less time insulting David and more time watching his own back. He'd is not in OTTC and some of the behavior they are accusing David of...and targeting him for...is what Jason is actually guilty of. (Example being Lisa saying that David tries to listen to other's convos...when Jason does it the most. We have also seen Lawson do it...but he is in OTTC...so he is exempt of ridicule :bored:
) Jason could be their next target if David leaves...and I have a feeling that he won't take the mean comments and ostracism as well as David.

Also, I posted in the doppelganger thread about David today. I know most say Tobey Maguire...but I think he looks more like Wes Bentley (American Beauty, Hunger Games). I always thought he had stunning eyes and was a cutie...guess that's why David reminds me of him. :whistling:

The fact that they were openly calling him "strategy Dave" means that the issue was brought out in the open. Hopefully they were able to clear the air and now they won't be such hypocritical bitches the next time someone wants to talk "strategy".

Poor David! Even Jason is insulting him.

And we have a new arch enemy people! I sort of expected a lot more from Jason. Given his circumstances it was surprising to hear something so underhandedly cruel from him, even if it was disguised as a joke.

And speaking of Strategy David, it's becoming more and more clear that what we are being shown is way out of order. Travis is shown wearing the SD t-shirt the previous episode while sitting on the phone. He spilled the desert down the front of it.

Regardless of some issues I have with Dave, I find myself liking him and want him to outlast Sam, Ryan and Lawson in particular.

I wish Sandra's time in the house wasn't so influenced by Sam. I really dislike the dude and feel without her attraction to him she would be playing a very different game and the initial promising traits she showed would be to the fore and her and Dave could have gone on to have a genuinely supportive, affectionate friendship.

Exactly. I don't think the housemates realise that David has a lot of support on the outside. Obviously Sam is popular on the inside with Katie etc saying they think he will win. There's just something about Sam I don't like.

I agree...I hope he outlasts Sam, Lawson...definitely Lisa...but especially Sandra. I would hope that...not only her time was being influenced by Sam...but her personality as well. Because she has acted quite ugly to him at times and then she acts contrite afterwards...and I don't know if she is just pretending to feel bad, is feeling sorry for herself, is letting Sam rub off on her and she regrets it...or did she ever really support him (aside from her "thinking" that she is the reason they were saved the first week...she "supported him staying" :bored:)? That's why I want her to go before him...maybe then she'll realize he saved her.

Yeah it would be interesting to see what happens if David and Sandra were nominated in the same week but Sandra is the one evicted ...maybe Sam and the HM's will change the way they treat David?
I think BB sees Jake and David as the 2 disposable HM's this week, and doesn't care if they are evicted.

Some people are saying that David should have said something to Leo about him coming back for seconds but he only noticed it at lunchtime, and it's possibly because Sam was saying other stuff about Leo that David didn't want to appear to be sucking up by giving the heads up in front of Sam.....as far as David is concerned his loyalty/alliance is with Sam, and was probably a bit intimidated by Leo. Hopefully though Leo and David can strike up a friendship.

I wonder when the superman challenge was done, if Travis was wearing David's SD shirt in his phone challenge..why didn't BB show a minute of footage with David (who's scared of heights) doing something this week, his fans would appreciate it and maybe the fence-sitters would send a few votes his way? the yes/no task has been passed, so BB can't really show old footage on Sunday, that's Friday night party, weekend and the new HOH.

oh whoops I missed an episode last night. My teenage daughter wanted me to send her credit today and I refused :redface: I'm not going to tell her why.

EDIT I actually looked at the BB fb page and on the post about David doing a challenge the comments are all pretty positive. I think he might be OK this week.

I feel like that footage on the site was suppose to be in the daily show but they decided to put The Block on Friday instead this week and throw their schedule off so they trimmed it to fit a half hour show.

I havent seen the TV ad for Sunday but this was posted in the daily show thread tonight..

It looked to me like David was reacting to something someone had done or said, and saying he pretty much wanted nothing more to do with them, not just randomly having a go at someone. As the promo said Cat was ruffling feathers (or whatever the phrase was - I don't remember now) my impression was that she had led to something being revealed to Dave - either intentionally or unintentionally.
it might have been Lisa crying

I hope David comes out looking OK with all this, as he needs a surge of save votes...

From the Daily Show thread:

Tonight on Big Brother, Sam steps off the throne as Head of House (HOH) and hands it over to Cat.

Big Brother announces to the Housematestonight’s party is a “Party of Illusions”. All the Housemates are getting on famously, and then it all goes wrong for Lisa and David who have a row of epic proportions but agree to resolve their issues.

As the new HOH, Cat is permitted to talk tactics and nominations with Lisa and Travis. She strategically takes them into the Treehouse to start discussions about forming an alliance.

Lisa’s treat ‘em mean, keep ‘em keen attitude towards Leo seems to be working. It looks like barriers are being broken and a something could be brewing between them.

Then much to the dismay of the Housemates, Cat chooses to take Lawson into the Sanctuary even though he has a girlfriend on the outside and Cat insisted she didn’t want to be a homewrecker! Tune in to Big Brother tonight after the NRL Grand Final on Channel Nine.

Lisa, her holier than thou attitude, and her sadsacks, really need to leave.
