David Appreciation Thread

Finally got a chance to watch and it was fun to see most of the family and friends. Loved seeing Dave's dad, and I LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDD him calling Priya out for being deceitful about Ryan, but I was happier that Ryan got to hear the truth. I ended up FF Priya's husband, once he went in on the profession nonsense. That was a weak ass defense when Priya said it and it was just as weak when he started it. I haven't read comments, and probably won't, but I wonder if her husband hurt her chances any. This will be an interesting week, and I think it's a real shame that 2 intruders are in the final after 2 weeks in the house. But, it seems fitting, for such a poorly thrown together season. I hope Dave makes it. I love how he kind of just took all the comments. I really love how he handles criticism.

I'm not even being biased but Melvyn was my favourite family member. Glad he got to send David a message which I imagine he has been needing (mainly because the producers send in pranks for him, not family members). Close second was Penny's mum. What a mother hen and a fun lady, fruit never falls far from the tree.

I liked Melvin's nominations the most too, although Leo's friend was very worthy. Melvin called it how it was, straight down the line from what I can see. Reckon David is a bit of a chip orf the old block Gov.

You make a great point, Melvyn definitely hasn't hurt David's chances this week. What he said for his nominations was true yet tactful. I loved that they showed us viewers the part straight after where the girls were discussing the apparent "rumour" that David put Ryan up with his super power. I think Ryan's sister did a great job too, the fact she was on a similar page to Melvyn helped. Whatever happens now, it's peace of mind for David and Ryan that there is a solid friendship there.

I have to give David credit for keeping a smile on his face even though he was receiving a lot of critical feedback last night. Loved that he had a cheeky joke with Bushy at the end too...shows there is no hard feelings and he is aware this is all part of the game.

I loved that he called her out on it too. She is such a deceptive woman; even play acting with feigned surprise!

As for the teacher thing... *shaking head* A BIG DEAL was made about her being a bloody teacher from the getgo. Perhaps Bushan should let Production know that ones vocation should be of no importance in the game? AFAIC, David was merely working with that he was given as a reference point. :tongue:

I like what you said there, and I would like to expand on it.

It is always insane to me to watch how emotionally invested BBB posters get in housemates they will never know. You can understand these one eyed emotional responses from family when defending their loved ones from vitriolic strangers, but I just don't get the obsession members here have when supporting their chosen housemate. You don't need to hate on others to validate support. It is insane. David and Priya appear to have a very healthy, respectful and functional relationship, why their fans go at it like unmedicated mental patients I will never know.

These housemates are complete strangers to members in here, and yet they will argue abusively and relentlessly with people they don't know, over housemates they will never meet. I think the ultimate irony, when watching the show it is evident these housemates get on. They share both the high moments of being locked in a cage together 24/7, and the low moments of being locked in a cage together, and they all come off looking like pretty decent human beings in my opinion.

Sure we have seen housemates want to hump people they shouldn't, behave in a spiteful manner, wear clothes that are hideous, say the wrong thing, do the wrong thing, laugh, cry, have fun, be inappropriate, and back stab, but some of you need to realise, this is called normal human interaction. All relationships have peaks and troughs. You can like someone, hate them then go back to liking them in under 24 hours. That is normal. Forum battles like the one we have seen here however are not normal. It is like reading 50 Shades of Tard.

The thing that makes me laugh most, while the housemates fight and make up in under an hour, clowns in here will be battling it out till the wee hours and for days on end. The forum response in here to the Ryan/Skye incident was seriously laugh out loud funny. Skye and Ryan had it sorted that day, three days on in here, fuckheads are still trying to find the true victim in what was an absolute non event.

I think it is a basic lack in Vit D. Some of these posters need to get outside and get some sun and a healthy dose of reality. Because this sort of behaviour is not normal.

and considering we dont even get live feeds or hardly any daily shows you know even less about them! you learn more through their friggin sisters on here. Maybe if all the HMs relatives signed up here and posted in the relevant threads what *insert HM* was really like and some back stories people would feel more "connected" to them. Cause you don't get that from the show anymore.
