David Appreciation Thread

As to the Priya stuff. David IS spot on. Teachers DO have PD training(every year btw) on how to interact with people on a weird plane of being authoritarian, non committal and buck-passing and feigning compassion. I know this as my fubby has been a teacher for 13 years now and he loathes these PD sessions, but has to endure them as it's mandatory. Priya IS playing "teacher" in the house and the only reason she got pissed off, is because David CALLED it.

They do go about things very differently though. If David has an issue with someone he'll say it to their face (even if he doesn't always express it properly). Priya on the other hand takes the approach of planting seeds about someone so everyone else turns on them.

I don't want to turn this into a priya discussion, but I do just want to add one thing to the point you made in your 2nd paragraph that Priya plants seeds about HMs so other will turn on them..... To me that is almost perfect game play right there, more so for survivor or BBUSA( although game playing is something that is allowed in BBAU these days), planting seeds is something I would try and do if I were playing in a reality TV competition. Who knows on the outside, priya might also again be just like David and say whatever it is to their faces....

Oh and something I forgot to mention in my original post of today is I am totally in the same boat as David when it comes to missing any of the evictees... as in I would not miss anyone at all.... It's not like you won't get to see them again at the wrap party and the more that leave the closer you are to winning.
 
I have always been on if not David then Pryia train, I even said so earlier today in a thinly veiled David hate thread; before I saw this episode. Stupid me, I really disliked her after watching. David handled himself well during the forever argument in the hot tub. He was the one to attempt to hug it out and then we get Pryia twisting truths in the diary room. K vent over

The only woman I would consider strong in there is Penny because she doesn't let herself get pulled into the "I HATE MEN" bitch fests...and funny enough David doesn't have an issue with her...

I don't think David handled himself well at all. He came off like a massive arrogant self righteous dickhead. He is incredibly judgmental and doesn't at all consider what he is saying, what he thinks, what kind of person he is may be different than others and that's ok.
 
Relating to Last night's ep, and to dinner party event in part. Was there any EP featuring group dinner David hosted as HOH, that I've perhaps missed?O_O
 
I think David is just sick of Priya always correcting everything he says, and it comes across as a lecture, nitpicking or a dig at him. It sounds like she starts a lot of private discussions with David as well, and he probably feeling like she's becoming a nag. He probably understand were she's coming from at times, as he's said he does say stupid stuff at times but he wants her to treat him like an equal, not talk down to him.

We've seen Priya say she's trying to cause a wedge between the guys, and after Tom and Richard leave this week, Ryan and David will be put under more pressure from the other group..
Priya did it to Sandra as well after Sam left (we saw her talking about it in the kitchen), and even Sandra told David at the BBQ she felt on the outer now

HM's can insinuate that David threw Ryan under the bus at nominations but David can't defend himself because of the rules. Ryan never had the dirty dozen power to know what happens.
I don't think Ryan would have voted David 2 points to be HOH again if he thought he was out to get him..
