David Appreciation Thread

First of all, thanks to @BigSisterEm for posting David's letter for us to read. Second, thanks to @Veronica2005 for posting it here...since I may be part of a select few who doesn't have FB. It was great for us Slayvidites to get inside his head and read his thoughts. As I have stated before, his seemed the most real and genuine letter...and reading all of it only proved it to me. Your family must have been touched and proud that he used that precious time to give you his honest thoughts and have sincere interest in how his family and loved ones are doing. Unlike most housemate's letters...who seemed more focus on themselves and how the public perceives them. I found it especially sweet how being in there made him realize how much he appreciates his relationship with his close friend outside of the house. The details of their friendship is none of my business...but I am happy that there is someone special that appreciates him in return...waiting for him when he gets out. She is a very lucky lady!

From what I have seen today, the war cry against David has pretty much faded out. I actually only saw "Save David"s and none to get him out. The focus seems more towards getting Sandra and Ryan out. I hope that is the case. What worries me is that a lot of people are saying that they aren't bothering to vote at all...since there was no shows this weekend to base their decisions on. I don't know if that is good or bad. Hopefully it means that those votes would have been for someone other than David...and it will make it easier for us to save him. VOTE TO SAVID SLAYVID!!

Prob not best place to ask but since David is up for eviction - what's the deal with the HM offered money to self evict? Is it only for those up for eviction or for any HM?

Surely it couldn't apply to those up for eviction?

Would it not cause voter outrage if you spent money all week to save a HM but then they just walk?
 
I'm not sure how it will go down but they must really want all these HMs gone if they could essentially have 3 leaving this week.

Not too sure of the details, but if I'm going to be really honest, if he is offered a good amount of money, I hope he takes it and runs! Honestly with this clawson mess, it seems all the other hms are taking a back seat and are just the background for the bb crew. David deserves better. In saying that though, I will continue voting my ass off for him to get through and hopefully at least beat the two most disrespectful and disgusting hms this year. To not beat those two, what an incredible injustice.

I agree. From his brilliant letter it sounds like he's enjoying the 'experience' so wonder if he would take the cash and run? I think he might decide to stay as it sounds like he is committed to the process but I'm with you, he deserves better and should leave that mess. Hope it's a decent amount of $ to tempt him.

What's the bare minimum you reckon Dave should accept for leaving?
 
I hoping with this money offered to self-evict, that it's for the ones not up for eviction, and that if a HM takes the money, they sacrifice their place in the house for the 2nd evictee to stay, so votings lines don't re-open after the 1st evictee, so on Weds night show the self-evictee appears on stage with Sonia, and a live announcement again for who's been put up for eviction. (only because I'm worried David might end up being that 2nd evictee)... so only lose 2 HM's this week
Although maybe on Tuesday's live show, the money is offered but they have 24 hrs to decide, so BB will announce if anyone took the money on Wednesday nights live how...so we still might lose 3 HM's this week
I think David probably wouldn't take the money, if he's still happy in the house but I guess it depends on what's been happening over the past few days, maybe a large sum of money would pay for an amazing holiday experience overseas.
If Sandra's 1st evicted, he's going to be upset, that he might think it would be good to both leave at the same time, since they entered the house as a Pair? (hope not)
Hopefully BB gives us some idea tonight, on how this money offer is going to actually work on Tuesday.

re taking the money and run: Could be Priya, especially if she thinks she does not have a chance at winning. It would go with her MO to take the money the first week when that opportunity arose as at least she'll leave with some loot.

Pretty sure they can't actually give the option to anyone up for eviction given there would be a massive blow up if people had spent money saving someone only for them to take the money and leave.

What if they give to opt out POST eviction to those who were saved? The housemates don't know the order they are in as to having been saved after all, I mean, this stunt may ride on the coat tails of the fake eviction of Travis, hence no one in the house knowing just how liked, or disliked they are by the people voting. Priya has made it clear she wants to leave with money, more than any of them from what I have seen. If she is told by BB if she leaves voluntarily and can take a good chunk of the pot, I cannot see her saying no is all.

Still though that means people paid money to save someone that ends up leaving straight after the eviction anyway.

Unless the producers are completely corrupt it'll only be offered to HMs not up for eviction this week.
 
Can we hope for a a voluntary eviction Tuesday, and then a real eviction Wednesday (Sandra)?

The ideal candidates for a voluntary eviction would be Marina, Cat, Lawson, all who stand no chance to win IMO. The people seemingly most likely to be swayed by money would be Skye and Aisha.
