Celebs iCloud Nude Photos Leaked

New thread, post your naked selfies!

The pics weren't really that. Like people hanging out on beds taking pics of each other. Not really engaging in sex. Posing and so forth.
Ha! No! Now I want to edit my post above, but that's no longer allowed if it's not within the 10 minute mark. Oh well. So the pics were more J-law style then. Yeah my selfies don't come close to those.

I shouldn't have to lock my front door or my car. Doesn't mean it is not a smart measure to do.

but it can still get broken into/stolen ... so wheres the line? if you dont want your car stolen then dont have a car?
AFAIK the photos were pw protected ...isnt that kind of like having a locked door?

Sorry this is a bit all over the place.

Be careful, some one may come here accusing you of victim blaming woman. We're meant to accept this as being complete normal behavior that should be encouraged and not question any aspect of the fact they have so many nudes. The only angle of looking at this is how horrible and disgusting boys and men are for wanting to see these.

Someone on facebook posted a link to some long article about how horrible Ricky Gervais is because he made a tweet saying, 'celebrities, make it harder for hackers to get nude pics of you from your computer by not putting nude pics of yourself on your computer.' There's been a bunch of articles on this around.

Now I don't know if it's a male perspective, but my first reaction was why would they risk this? After how many leaked videos and pictures certainly you should be more careful. As I read some one some where say, 'if you're an attractive celebrity, it should not be surprising that people want to see you naked.'

I don't understand why saying that any of this is a problem. Yes their privacy shouldn't have been breached and all that. It is not victim blaming to say the chance of this happening isn't exactly out of the blue. I shouldn't have to lock my front door or my car. Doesn't mean it is not a smart measure to do.

As to why they take them, I think there's some normalization of behavior and proliferation of cameras. With famous people though I think the simple fact of being a young attractive celebrity makes you extra sensitive to how tyou look. So from that point of view, taking some pictures of yourself naked or partially dressed would come from that and is in some way understandable.

People have grown up with cameras always around. I don't understand the whole sexting thing but cell phones with cameras didn't really happen until I was 20 and even in high school most people didn't have phones. So I think there is something where people take pictures.

There also may be an influence of people being more exposed to porn. I keep reading about how every young person is now watching hard core porn. Maybe there is an influence with that, where documenting, taking pictures, videos is in some way considered normal.......... well to some.

Also at younger ages people don't think about consequences the same way as adults, but in your 20s you should.

This to me gets into, if you're famous, it's unfortunate but you should be concerned that this stuff can get out. I don't know, i've never really had an ex send me anything. I could only imagine the reaction if I was asking one to send me nudes. Although I did recently date a girl briefly who for some reason showed me some pictures she was sending to an ex of hers to make him jealous. That's another story for another day though.

I assume a celebrity should know better than to send them. I wouldn't trust or want anyone with nudes of me and no one would be interested in seeing them.

The thing is, when ever we read about the evils of teens sexting, you always have people telling kids not to take these pictures because they will get out and stay out for ever. Yet for celebrities having pictures out there, you're not allowed to say that.

Not at all. I was just expressing surprise that this many celebrities and people do this stuff. Its not something that I am very familiar with. I don't think anyone would mistake it as me passing judgement on it. Just surprised.

I guess it is just levels of precautions.

The world isn't a nice bubble wrapped friendly place. It's a reality that if you're famous and pretty, people will snoop. It's happened before this and will happen after this.

I really am curious to know the details of the leak. How did he target so many peoples phones?

I think maybe when they are famous and travelling the world it's harder to maintain intimate relationships. So they probably do this for their significant others. Maybe. My guess anyway.

Oh, bleachy, you're so cute. They do it because they are all over-confident narcissists.

On another note, I haven't seen the photos, or sought to see them. Before the era of the selfie I spent a huge amount of time looking at myself in mirrors in all kinds of dress and undress, but thank technology, I was never tempted to take a snap. I'm sure Jennifer Lawrence is just as beautiful in reality as she is in my imagination, but I don't need the kind of fake intimacy that comes with the kind of violation of privacy that involves peeking at private moments. These are people, after all. Vain and self-important people, but they're still entitled to the basic human right of privacy. Especially when they're young, vain and famous. I've been both young and vain and maintained my privacy. Their only fault is their fame.

Sorry to be a spoil sport.

I agree with you, but if there is naked pictures of Jennifer Lawrence and I can have a look at them. I lack any semblance of will power to not look.

Although I think one aspect is, these famous people still don't seem like real people to us. I have known people that have posed nude and done some porn stuff. That I actually felt bad about having a look and kind of saw it and closed it down. That's a real person, even though someone I didn't know well. We're so used to celebrity as not being real and with the internet, porn and all that. There is a disconnection between real and not thinking it's appropriate to look.

Maybe i'm just a creep :)

So not a creep! It's just a choice I made not to look. I wouldn't look at my kids diaries, either.

Yeah, it's always weird when you hear about parents who look at their kids internet histories, read their e-mails, diaries and all sorts of things.

Well this is going to be awkward... But I can picture myself doing this if they give me reason to be suspicious. I just don't trust the world I live in to not be suspicious either I admit. My boys are still babies though, so who knows if I will turn out like these parents, but I'm already thinking I won't be far off haha

I watched the videos of Jessica Brown Findlay the other day when I saw a link (couldn't help it, just had to watch)... I feel so sorry for her. If it was just a normal sex tape it wouldn't be so bad but she says some embarrassing shit.
