Celebrity BBUK 2025 - launches 7th April

Meh is probably what sums up my thoughts. Might give the next episode or two a go before deciding to bail on it or not.

Funny that after the "hush hush game show" thing was revealed, the first thing out of Mickey Rourke's mouth was "I was ordered to do whatever everyone else was doing" as an explanation for why he joined the random conga line.

SO they bought Sharon Osbourne back and gave her a cowboy hat???

And whoever dresses AJ should do a better job.....she was very..err..distracting

It’s really interesting to see the new model of building the house (last the last few in the uk) using the suspension truss method. It’ll be really interesting to see if 10 go for that style here because I would imagine the cost would be significantly lower, considering the methods of building a real full structure for past Aussie series.

Would be interesting to know the costs.

Not sure what you mean by this.
So in watching that construction video a lot of the ceilings are all held by the big silver metal trussss. It’s all rigged to it inclusive of the “natural” lighting

For BBAU we would build the house as we would a residential house with a proper engineered roof within the “house shed” example below:

In the BBUK they have built essentially the house in a soundstage as a free structure within. I would imagine this cost of building the house this way is cheaper then a full on fit out like BBAU would do.

Seven kinda did this but didn’t put a roof on the house. Everything was open.

Ah, gotcha. This is how the ceilings in my house are suspended. Well, the walls are all brick at least.

If they aren’t saving money on the build I imagine they’re definitely saving money not having the space on lockdown year round. I’d be shocked if 10 didn’t do something similar.

No surprise Mickey has already got himself a warning.

They'll be some who think that warrants an instant ejection but letting the housemates resolve the issue themselves, which they somewhat did, really is what the "social experiment" of Big Brother should be, giving the perpetrator the chance to learn and grow rather than making them the victim.

Watching Mickey Rourke on Big Brother is like watching Sean Spicer on Dancing with the Stars USA

So they've slightly tweaked the eviction format to go back to how it always used to be.

The eviction happens in the second to last segment of the show, then they go to a break and come back and do the eviction interview on this smaller stage in the outdoor set. Then the show ends and they go over to Late and Live.

Hid the evictee in the screenshot below too.

And to think people complained they didn't make the eviction set bigger - can hardly fill this one.

Unlike their previous attempts outdoor interviews the crowd were somewhat kept under control. They got away with it last night on a warm Spring evening but it gives it pissing down next week.

Really don't think the tweaked Late and Live set works either.

Was apparently as a result of threatening behaviour to Chris during the pirates task. Seems appropriate he was made to walk the plank.

At least they're being honest about it rather than just saying he left without any explanation or footage.
