Big Brother house talk topic *Spoiler Warning*

From what we've seen so far, the house somewhat resembles the BB06 house - especially that bathroom wallpaper picture thing. (I think it was BB06.)

Not too impressed at all about the Nominations Room returning.

But LOVE the look of the bedroom and those LED lights.

I was definitely getting a BB06 vibe from that Bathroom too. I actually think I prefer last year's bathroom to this one.

The bedroom/living room look quite nice from what I've seen and I prefer this year's diary room to last year's.

I don't like that kitchen though, with the multicoloured cupboard panelling. It looks too much like a children's playhouse.

I'll wait until it is revealed in full to make final judgements.

Are you sure you are not getting confused with the BB05 bathroom? The 2006 bathroom was white and light. This 2013 bathroom is a darkish colour just like 2005. The first thing I thought of when I saw the bathroom was 2005 bathroom. They have definitely completely revamped the House this year compared to last. I am getting a UK vibe from the House.

BB06 simply because of that nature themed wallpaper, but I agree that the overall colour scheme is a bit reminiscent of the darker bathrooms, such as BB05 or BB08.

Yeah I see what you are saying. The water fall wallpaper that was on the BB06 toilet doors is very similar to this years bathroom. For some reason though it just reminded me of the 2005 bathroom.

i have a feeling that if its "immediately obvious" what the twist is when you walk through the house, we wont be seeing any floor plans before the show starts this year... :(

Some frame caps from the News.com.au article:

The glass/perspex see-through wall mentioned earlier in this topic:

Bathroom (I'm almost certain the back wall with the two toilets and showers are unchanged from 2012 - as this part of the house was not demolished):

Bedroom (if the window-like things are the camera run then good on the house designers for getting rid of the continuous one-way mirror - looks different):

The house looks amazing! So much nicer than last years. Feels more Big Brother-y

Well, if they've released this much via News LTD, then the real surprise must be in the back yard. No?

Oh, and it looks like the automatic interior doors are mostly gone. I did wonder about that in the early construction pics when narrow standard door jams were pictured.

if youre talking about what i think youre talking about, do you think it could possibly be a fake/removable wall?
generally if theres a wall in the bb house, theres a camera run/walkway behind it...
so real mirrors might indicate its a fake wall to be removed later perhaps (ala 2003 bedroom?)

I don't have any hard evidence to rule it out, although I do see the traditional camera run one-way mirror, just broken up.

You can see one here on the first photo (better angle to see the traditional camera run mirror broken up (it doesn't occupy the entire fake window frame)...

...And then three of them in the second photo.

Unless...... it is just the reflection of the one-way mirror on the opposite wall!!!

i think you maybe right...usually the one way mirrors for the camera run are half way up the wall...not long thin ceiling to floor mirrors..also the curtains make it look fake and the curtains must not be able to move because you could pull them over the mirrors if they were real! also there are frames around the long thin mirrors where as the usual camera run windows dont have any frames

yeah, thats what i first thought, and looking closer now, im sure it is, in the first pic you posted there, you see the girls reflection so it is a full length mirror

i think we might have just ruined one of alexs secrets :P
the bedroom seems to be laid out strangely too, a row of beds across the middle of the room with a walkway behind the huge bed heads... seems really weird... and if the full length mirrors are proper mirrors, if a HM lies down behind the wall of bedheads, i dont think cameras will see them.....

yes that true the beds are placed strange..usually the beds are against walls..if you look in the mirror you can see the camera run window in the reflection on the wall behind where the pic is taken...so im guessing the door that the girls are opening is to the bathroom? also why do they have lamps..how would BB turn them off unless there are wired somehow? if they are wired then they would not be able to move, thus the beds would have to stay there....and in that news article they said that the bedroom is massive, with small amount of beds.. that could mean after say 4 weeks the HMs group would have to be small enough to have their own bed when they are merged together...im guessing that seeing the mirror frames are the same height as the doors and similar width that these will become secret doors to a secret room??? or doors to the other house?? also the chick in the video looks to the perplex/glass wall and says "what are you doing" so there must be someone on the other side of the wall....

I'm coming back to one of the previous bits of speculation - maybe there is two bedrooms, and the house is only configured in its day 1 set up hence the test housemates don't know about the other bedroom?

If this is the same room, bit looks very different in the "daytime" configuration... (anyone notice the curtains look a different colour - but it seems the whole image is miscoloured so...)

Vs the "nighttime" configuration...

why is there a tv in the bathroom?? seems a little weird...the beds seem to be in a long straight line too...and in the video they dont show the left side of the bedroom only the right...maybe thats where the perspex wall is??

You can see the other side via the camera run one-way mirror - e.g. there's a TV
