Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

For a 4 week season to finish in the ratings year it would have to begin on the 2nd or the 3rd of November, running until the 23rd or 24th.

We’ll assume 10 News + is staying until the end of the year just to get an idea of what time slots are available around the network, the ratings have been shocking for 10N+, and could very well be shortened to half an hour as a compromise. If this happens it could allow for Deal or No Deal at 6:30 and Big Brother at 7.

I really hope 10 are able to make at least a 6 or 7 week run work if we get a half hour daily show airing at 7pm before another reality format (Amazing Race or Survivor) at 7:30. Deal or No Deal and Big Brother being used as a lead-in for other reality formats at 7:30 could actually bring more overall success to the network in the later part of the year where 10 usually is eclipsed by ABC in the ratings and brings down their YTD results.

It didn’t. But I believe the deadline for the job applications was for August/September.

We could get five weeks 2 Nov - 7 Dec, or six weeks if they run until 14 Dec. Too short either way unless they can launch it earlier, or delay it until after new year.

The fact they have pulled the ad gives me hope they might be delaying it. Anyone want to email Endemol and ask if they are still taking applications? Ask them to confirm likely date range. I CBF.

Amazing Race could be on later - I can remember around 2002/2003 Amazing Race was on at 10:30pm - I know cos the ads kept trying to spin that it was prime time viewing and was like who are you trying to kid! I want to watch this but I gotta get up early for work - if it was an extended or double episode it killed me! (ironically now 12 would be an early night for me)

Yeah that’s on the instagram post with the link I posted up above

If the blocks runs until November 10th like last year, 10 will have Big Brother start after that… there’s no way they’ll have big brother up against a million+ viewership flagship show on a rival network.

It’ll be up against MKR as well I believe

I read on a job site that they closed the application on June 20th, just 10 days after they posted the ad. If it was delayed 10 wouldn’t be promoting the show and the social media profiles wouldn’t have been wiped. They’re on schedule by the sounds of it.

I'm not sure how demographics in TV work, but it will be interesting to see how the live streaming will fair, as it caters for everyone. "Always on" was on one the BB banners on the Paramount site (I think) I saw it somewhere and saved it haha.

Would they really be that scared of The Block? It’s in its 20th season now, has been on air non-stop for over a decade and hardly rates like it did in its prime. Also, it’s pretty poor for a TV network to bow down to its competitors if there is tough competition. That’s exactly when they should be trying to take down their rivals and give people an alternative. I don’t want to watch a renovation or cooking show. I want to watch Big Brother. There was a time when My Kitchen Rules was a juggernaut in the first half of the year, but then 9 put MAFS there and came out on top. You can't put the white flag up in these times.
