Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

Breaking big brother news:

We’re getting closer to the first couple of announcements.
You seem to have accidently included a source in your post. :D

Yeah that's actually a good point, the stuff from back in the day would not be something people would look kindly on, they could do a disclaimer at the start about it being a product of its time but people would still have their pitchforks out I am sure.
One interesting thing about rewatching Merlin's eviction episode is that Miriam was still in the House. 😬 Gretel's smug double-entendres about "catching up with half.................Housemate, half Intruder Miriam" definitely ruined it a bit.

If they ever did release any old stuff they'd have to do it like BBUK: Best Shows Ever and take a hatchet to it. 😅

More accessible than ever, across all screens and platforms with TV, BVOD, 24-hour live streaming on FAST and social media, Australians will be hooked watching every moment, six nights a week, plus live voting and evictions.

Interesting...
I might be once again making something out of nothing, but I just can't help but notice it doesn't specify WEEKLY voting and evictions. Maybe its going to be a fast paced season with 2 eviction cycles per week? If its only going to go for a month then there would need to be multiple snap evictions for there to be room for a cast of even just 12-14.

I this series is in fact 4 weeks I’m sure they’ll follow something similar to BBUK and I’m a Celebrity… 3 normal evictions and the rest fall like flies in the final week 🙄

I can see the endless promos in my head now..... Those final week evictions are going to be teased as unmissible event TV. I'm losing a lot of faith but I just deludedly hope theres something we're misinterpreting.

It's hard to tell, I think Dreamworld would kick themselves for not going ahead with a BB reboot, assuming Endemol Shine approached them, but it's anyone's guess. There's literally nowhere else they could possibly pull it off, bar Movie World.

I think Village Roadshow Studios is the best of both worlds... 10 can get the benefits of the theme park without being directly associated with it.

Same. At very least I'm thankful the words "family friendly" have not been associated with this series.

Was just checking out the MW map, they have quite a lot of land, I assume they would just utilise 2 sound stages, one for the house, one nearby to broadcast live evictions etc. I couldn't see an existing auditorium/amphitheatre type set up, as trying to move the map around on the phone is a pain.

It doesn’t make sense to have it be so short and with 12 person cast with the 24 hour live streaming. What possibly would there be to watch all day when the cast very quickly goes down to 6 and less. Needs a big cast and atleast 6+ weeks to work imo otherwise they shooting their selves in the foot. Hopefully it works out and we are reading into it wrong

Nothing but a bunch of dribble… You’re just playing into tropes about how modern audiences don’t have an attention span to get invested in the series. The core of the format is the HM’s not gimmicks. If people don’t care once the numbers drop, it’s because they were never given the time to connect. Shoving more people into the mix won’t fix that… It makes it worse!!! 🙄

Bigger cast ? May as well go full hog then, send 100 people to an island with some rough tools and ask them to survive by making their own settlement. (no, not like Survivor)

Each week have two people evicted based on votes on who has contributed the least to the community and reward's can be the installation of modern stuff, like toilets, ktchen, showers, etc.

Stupid idea

Big difference between 24 and 100 people lmao. The live streaming aspect will not last with such a small amount of people I can guarantee it. Even with the USA version which has a bigger cast and more weeks the live streams get boring when it gets to the end. And we are staring with that smaller cast. No ones going to care to watch 5 people interact with each other all day all week nothing will be going on most of the time.

Nobody said anything about wanting gimmicks or short attention spans. Your projecting. Live-streaming from other countries shows no one cares as much for the live streams when the numbers get lower. Switching the feed between 5 people all day who are probably all doing the same thing and talking to each other is not something anyone wants to watch 24/7. It’s fact. the point of live-streaming is ur able to check in on all the individual housemates interactions. when there’s a bigger cast its what makes live-streaming worth it.

Ummm thanks for putting words in my mouth NOOB 🙄 Your suggestion is no different than if production decided to throw in a twist every week. It shows a complete lack of faith in the core format, so calling it a gimmick is calling it EXACTLY what it is. More housemates doesn’t equal better feeds. It just means nobody’s expected to carry the story for long. If the series really is only 4 weeks, then a bloated cast isn’t just unnecessary… It’s insulting. It says they don’t trust the audience to get invested unless they’re constantly distracted.

You do realize BBUS live feeds log more hours than any other streaming show, right? And that excuses like yours are exactly why networks like Nine didn’t bother and why ITV limits theirs to a tiny daily window. No one is expecting people to watch 24 hours a day. That’s not the point. The value of live feeds isn’t that something is always happening. It’s that when something does happen, we actually see it. Unedited, unfiltered, and in context. That’s the whole point of Big Brother. If you think five people left in the house is boring, don’t watch. It’s that simple.
