Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

At least now we get to enjoy the pre season hype like we used to! Safe to assume it will be a September launch, that means auditions underway and house being built by mid late winter.

Hyper media publication/series speculation will be in full swing by autumn 2025. And if anyone’s like me around here, there will be survivor to fill the gap in the waiting period. Not to mention there’s BBUK still to go this year as well as a whole series of BBUS next year. There’s so much reality TV going on for disposal!

And never did I think I’d get to live in a world where the CBS three of BB, Survivor and Amazing Race all ended up on channel ten at the same time. I’m living in a dream world right now.

Thank you but I've known about the forum since at least the end of the OG Ten era. I gave up on BBAU halfway through 2012 and never looked back, I will never watch the Seven version (I only had a quick flick through the last Uncut episode, and I didn't really see anything that merited it being "uncut" at least not in the original sense. Having the original format come back with live streaming and everything is amazing. I know that Ten knows that they cannot screw this up and betray the OG fans because otherwise it will just be a massive waste of money for them.

I am interested to know how voting to evict (and I hope it is vote only to evict) will work with most if not all mobile services dropping access to premium services etc. That extends to UpLate as well, it cannot be denied that UpLate was there to get revenue from callers trying to answer the puzzle. The format still works of course without a puzzle (and assuming that housemates are not sleeping).

Thank you! Long time lurker but there was literally nothing since the OG era to make me want to participate, however this news has me pumped!!
 
I think 10 have the chops to recapture at least some of the energy that surrounded the show in its original 2001-08 run. Even if the network hasn’t been super successful in the ratings, their reality TV offering has always had good money put into it and is well produced in most instances.

I don’t want to get my hopes up but I have a really good feeling about this revival. I don’t think public opinion about the channel 7 run will affect it too much - it’s not like anyone was watching that pile of shit
 
I assume Ten had been wanting the show for awhile and were just waiting for any remaining hold Seven had on the format to expire, since this seems to have happened somewhat quickly. Were there even ANY rumours swirling that this was on the cards? Usually there's always something and its never a surprise like this was.

I remember rumours circulating about 7 looking at doing a live format depending on the success of the BBUK revival and that ten had shown interest in possibly getting the show back but I didn’t think it was going to happen so quickly. I had just assumed that the show was dead with no sign of return after the love island season
 
Channel 10 is the right place for the rebirth of Big Brother Australia, and yes, their reality TV offerings are usually good and well produced - Australian Survivor for example in many respects is now superior to the U.S version.
I'm cautiously optimistic about what we're going to experience in the 4th quarter of 2025, and while I'm not that familiar with Mel as host, she seems to do well on that Cheap Seats show on Tuesday nights.
Gretel was never going to return, she said goodbye to Big Brother a long time ago.
I'm thrilled Peter Abbott seems to be the voice of Big Brother again, and I'm hoping also that Mike Goldman is involved in some way again.
