Big Brother back in 2025 on 10! AND LIVE!

Back on topic, is Australia going to even be willing and able to commit to six nights of BB watching per week?
I really hope they'll return to 30 minute shows. Well, 30 minute shows that run to 40 maybe. But being Channel 10 they won't be able to help themselves.

I'm willing to bet they'll be the same length as Australian Survivor. Sunday nights 7PM-8:30PM and Monday-Friday would be 7:30-8:40/30. Essentially the same as whatever their schedule is currently as it is Q4 right now.

Since HYBPA is a staple on Monday nights, "Live" nominations will more than likely be combined with the daily show like they were on Nine. Sunday evictions IF anything could be seperated into a daily show and seperate live eviction show. But I fully expect it to be one merged episode as long as a 90 minute Survivor episode.

Sadly highly unlikely @timmy. I'd expect eviction nights and nominations to run 90 minutes with highlights and the live show combined + then Tue-Thu to run 70 minutes. Been no mention of Friday Night Live but if that does return they may split the slot into 30 minutes of highlights then FNL.

As I said, they won't be able to help themselves, they'll milk it for everything it's worth. And for the cost to produce the show you can't really blame them.

As for FNL, I'd be surprised if it returns.

Does 10 have any sporting rights that might get in the way?

They show football sometimes but that's it.

There are rumours they are in contention for one of AFL/NRL - unlikely they'll pick it up but at this point of the year it's wrapping up anyway.

Yeah that's right, the NRL wraps up first weekend in October and AFL the weekend prior. 10 can't afford either anyway.

If Ten can’t afford it all the more reason for them to bring back a show like FNL as counter programming. Not that I’m really a big fan of it I know it’s been one of if not the most requested elements of the show during each revival. At this point going back to 10 I say they should try to give fans everything they want.

Channel 10 has 2 sports they’ll be showing in summer, Aleague and the NBL… it’s just a matter of what channel they’ll be putting them on. Most aleague games are on paramount+. NBL is on 10 and some a league games are on bold.

As for the NRL; The NRL boss wants to set up a meeting with the parent company for the next broadcasting rights, If he wants money channel 10 will probably end up with it and it’ll be a fresh look on the game. It’ll be 2028 anyway.

As far as I’m aware, channel 10 has the rights for a couple years at least for BB.
They’re looking at locations in Brisbane, close to an amphitheatre for the BB house.

Channel 10 will be starting the first season with the basics and highly unlikely they’ll have spin off shows (imo)
I could be wrong they might have update or uncut.. but the first ever season of bb on 10 was just basics, I think they’re likely to go back to that. Which honestly isn’t a bad thing.

When it comes to the live stream aspect;
Unlimited 24/7 on paramount+ (BB website maybe)
Limited daily on 10Play (BB website maybe)

10play is getting a massive revamp from early next year and it’ll be known as 10.

Channel 10 will heavily promote BB from mid 2025, I suspect they’ll do interactive promotions in the city…

Yeah I suspect it's best to stick with QLD.
Ideally a theme park would be the best location for the house and amphitheatre, it’ll be easier to get people at that location and it’s an attraction.. everyone wins..

Location for the house will have to be near an attraction of some sort, the location is a huge deal and for sponsorship as well..

1) Tweaks to channel 7 format (assume non launch or finale week, i will share more detailed plans for those another time):

Premise: six episodes per week, hour long in duration, airing from Sunday to Friday, all filmed the day or two before, housemate and viewer rest day is Saturday, no live feeds nor shows with live audience, no fake evictions or other silly twists, ten week max runtime with twenty housemates.

Sunday (filmed Thursday and Friday): Shopping (24 hour weekly shopping challenge intermingled with housemates being housemates).
Monday (filmed Sunday): Nominations (post eviction fallout, nominations challenge with winner immune from noms, nominations themselves).
Tuesday (filmed Monday): Eviction (pre eviction scramble, eviction ceremony, quick post eviction interview with Sonia at the front door).
Wednesday (filmed Tuesday): Nominations (post eviction fallout, nominations challenge with winner immune from noms, nominations themselves).
Thursday (filmed Wednesday): Eviction (pre eviction scramble, eviction ceremony, quick post eviction interview with Sonia at the front door).
Friday (filmed over the week): Up-late (Housemates talking about politics, religion, the global economy, and a few nip slips and d*ck pics too).

Pros: Cheaper to produce due to no live feeds nor shows with live audience, allows channel to air weekend sport without BB getting in the way, far less chance of producer manipulation due to 24 hour turnaround during filming yet allows inappropriate content to be edited out before it goes to air, strikes a balance between the rushed three evictions per week seasons and the long one eviction per week seasons.
Cons: Viewers do not interact with the program until the live grand finale.
