Just thought I’d make a thread to discuss an ideal layout for the 2026 season and Wishlist.
I was bored so thought I’d make my ideal layout and get thoughts and opinions:

8 week season, 57 days with a finale on the Monday.

Week 1 - 12 housemates enter (day 1)
Week 2 - 13th housemate enters with secret mission (day 8), Eviction (day 14)
Week 3 - Eviction (day 21)
Week 4 - 1st intruder enters (day 22); Double eviction (day 28)
Week 5 - 2nd intruder enters (day 29); Eviction (day 35)
Week 6 - Double eviction (day 42)
Week 7 - Eviction (day 49)
Week 8 - Backdoor eviction (day 52); Double Eviction (day 56)
Week 9 - Finale with 4 housemates (day 57)

I don’t see a point in evicting a housemate on day 7 during a 57 day season, I think it’s a waste of a housemate who barely gets to leave any impact on the season imo.

I actually enjoy the shock factor and brutality of a backdoor eviction but I think they should be limited to 1 a season and towards the end.

Ideally would want a final three but didn’t want too many double evictions or have to add in another back door so had to settle on a final 4.
 
Is this a physical layout or a schedule wishlist?

In terms of layout I’m hoping for a completely new house structure (unlikely) away from the hustle and bustle of the general park area. It needs a proper garden with a few amenities like a normal pool. It needs isolation. Do they need to build a more permanent structure like the old house? No. The show doesn’t have another 8 seasons left unfortunately. We’ll be lucky to get 3 or 4. But as I’m not an architect or builder what do I know. I’m just some bitch.

The schedule needs increasing. I think 57 days at minimum. That’s in the ball park of 2 months. I think we could easily benefit from ~70 days. We don’t need the extensive 100 day seasons anymore.

We also need some broadcast schedule shakeup. Air the daily show prior to the live show. Have Ten really got that much programming in demand before/after the general 7pm timeslot? I say no.

With a new temporary structure south of the exhibition centre for the house, the exhibition centre can be used as a live show set. It has room for a proper stage and to be rigged for television and a larger audience. It has a roof and has ample space for any addition sets that might be needed if a spinoff is reintroduced. Then it would be easy to clear for off-season events while the house itself can be re-fitted and/or used for tours.

It’s all budget restricted of course. I still don’t understand how Ten and the Endemol production team can fuck up a show they had ~10 relatively successful seasons producing in the past. These are generally basic ideas and concepts that they’ve gone above and beyond to complicate.

And following the OPs correct suggestion, an eviction is stupid within the first week.
 
Theme wise; abit controversial but the start of the 08 theme right before it goes into the main theme (don’t know how to explain it but basically the first 15 seconds) is epic. I think that first part merging into the 2003 theme song would make a really good theme song.

Eye; I don’t think a rebrand moving on from their past would harm them. As I’ve stated in other threads I’d love to see a big brother Italy inspired eye of the current season, not the old eye.

Daily shows and live shows; I enjoyed how they kept them short this season generally compared to other tv shows. 1 hour and 15 is plenty for live shows and I think an hour is plenty for daily shows. For future, definitely not at the top of the priority list but wouldn’t mind a midweek uncut, not so much with a focus on nudity, just conversations not fit for prime time or return of a 1 hour Friday night live.

Stage and house: I didn’t mind the house being in dreamworld, I think it makes big brother seem like a bigger deal to people knowing it’s inside a probably one of Australia’s biggest theme parks and I also think having it inside dreamworld works well for promoting the park and the show. Contact with the outside world is an issue though and the least the staff should do is kindly ask riders not to yell into the house. As I’ve said in other threads I’d love to see a more modern inspired 2004-2007 house and potentially some inspiration taken from the current big brother Italy house.
 
At just 8 weeks you can't afford to skip a week 1 eviction - it makes no sense to delay the game a week. Sadly think it's inevitable even if the series was extended only by a week or two they'd go to 16 HMs as well.
