I remember hating these promos when they aired. It was the first time we’d ever had HMs revealed before the Launch. A) I feel it spoils the surprise, and B) it shows clear favouritism towards some HMs and not others.

Little did we know then, every single season between 2008-2023 would go on to do this. And I still don’t like it.

So I’m kinda hoping Ten avoids it completely this time ‘round. 🤞

Was about to say I also hope they don’t do any housemate reveal promo’s. It somewhat dilutes the excitement/build up to launch night.

I wonder if they've made their selections yet. Something tells me that if the house isnt complete yet, that they havent done their housemate callbacks yet either haha

The show starts in just over 3 weeks, I would say they are close to finalising the housemates or have already chosen them.

Assuming a 1 or 2 week lockdown before, they'll be finalising casting very soon.

They'll be working on the house right up until launch unless the teasers we've had aren't new at all and they're actually well ahead of themselves. Do these shows even run tests with test housemates anymore?

Personally I don't want housemate promos. I love the surprise. I also feel if there are social media people going in and they reveal that ahead of time, I'll subconsciously start checking out before it's even started.

Agree on all the above,

No housemate promos are the best way. It doesn’t make people tune in and if anything ruins the launch.

I would say the house is further along than what we are seeing.

Mel (acting uncertain): 'Big Brother, the house will be ready in time, right?
Leon BB: 'Big Brother will get back to you...'
Ehh, this is a nice idea but it strays from their pretty consistent messaging of “original and the best, home on 10 where it belongs, bigger and bolder than ever”

I feel that comes across as delays are imminent rather than a cheeky nod at it being live.

Especially when the HM’s going in is all we’re going to see in the premiere. At most we might see them “tease” HM’s in a similar way to what ITV have been doing but otherwise I’m not expecting any sort pre-series reveal. HM promos may have been something 10 started but it really doesn’t fit with the type of campaign we’d associated with the prime era that they’ve been running so far. Far more likely the campaign will build up to a premiere night reveal than do much revealing itself.

I don’t care how they tease the housemates, just as long as there’s some kinda tropical bouncey house music blasting during the video packages just like in the original 10 run 😍

Today’s Advertiser newspaper featured this information article. Got me thinking what a decent winners prize would be for this upcoming season of Big Brother. With the on air promos hinting Big Brother will be the “bad guy”, I wonder if it will be like the seasons where housemates were fined and the big prize pool became smaller and smaller. Although with channel ten being a bit povo, maybe theyll just stick to $100,000 prize pot.

I'd like to think it will be $250,000. Saying "$100k" doesn't sound as good as "a quarter of a million dollars".

Although, with it being such a short season, $100k for being locked in a house for 4/5 weeks would be a nice pay packet 😂
