I'm not sure if that was recorded specifically for the promo or was just taken or modified from an early series. We'll likely get a couple different voices (hopefully). Rumour has it a large portion of the production team is from the original 10 era, so it's not impossible but I don't think likely. Wouldn't expect many cameos, if any, in that respect to be honest. We're more likely to see ex-housemates make some sort of appearance.

Regarding the voices, I would've preferred the Nick/Rikkie (5-7) voice team over Leon, but I liked Leon's enough to not be fussed. Maybe we'll be surprised! Given we're less than a month away I'd have thought we'd hear of who's at least producing it at this point. If it's an original producer we'll likely be able to guess on some aspects of the show.

Alot of the people who worked on the channel 7 version are also returning to the new channel 10 version.
While that concerned me initially my friend who is working on the new series and worked on the channel 7 series said everyone hated the channel 7 version and are over the moon to be doing big brother the correct way. Unfortunately couldn't get any insider info as they are sworn to secrecy
 
The reality of working in reality TV is most people will jump from one show to another and just have a job to do, regardless of what they feel about the final product.

I know BBAU used to share alot of staff with I'm a Celebrity UK but they'll be airing at the same time this year.
 
I went to the cheap seats taping yesterday and Mel Tracina was asked how many auditioned etc and she said they're casting this week. She was then asked how many will go into the house and she said she was told but can't remember. (or just doesn't want to breach her NDA 😂)
 
It was around 4pm, I think I was watching 10 Drama at the time, but it might come on again. I just heard the Game on Moles short promo as I type this

I’ve thought this for years but I’ll say it again, Ten are the only network in Aus who knows how to market their shows. They may not get the viewers at times lol but they’re the only ones in Aus who know reality TV and do it best imo.

This campaign is proof of that! We haven’t seen a set of multiple BBAU promos like this since probably 2006/2007.
 
Even Nine’s promos never really hit the same way. They kind of took 2008’s campaign style (one main promo + Housemate reveal TVCs) and ran with a similar concept for three years. To an extent, that’s all that Seven’s pre-season promos were too.

To have a Big Brother series building hype with a multitude of teasers again certainly harks back to the good ol’ days, both here in Aus and even the OG UK era.

Remember when an early draft for the 2008 I Don't Think So campaign was (deliberately?) leaked online and most of us said there is no way that could be real 🤣. How wrong we were.

EDIT: Wait... the draft version is on Channel 10's official YouTube channel right now... I don't remember this detail!

I wonder what it all means, maybe items will be on there side like there was that one photo from the camera roll where it looked like the kitchen bench was on its side
 
I remember hating these promos when they aired. It was the first time we’d ever had HMs revealed before the Launch. A) I feel it spoils the surprise, and B) it shows clear favouritism towards some HMs and not others.

Little did we know then, every single season between 2008-2023 would go on to do this. And I still don’t like it.

So I’m kinda hoping Ten avoids it completely this time ‘round. 🤞

 
Agree. However if there must be a housemate focused promo I don't think I'd mind a close up teaser montage, such as a housemate's arm, another one's eye, a fact about someone else... just don't reveal any of them officially until launch.

I'm half expecting a promo about the house build at some stage. Perhaps something that plays into the live factor, like:
Mel: 'This year Big Brother is live, so live that the house isn't finished yet.'​
*push some button to speak with BB*​
Mel (acting uncertain): 'Big Brother, the house will be ready in time, right?'​
Leon BB: 'Big Brother will get back to you...'​
