Big Brother 2020: House

There’s a insta story video that’s “interactive” taking you to the diary room. Stills below.
The floor in the main corridor is terrible !

I am very confused about what they are trying to do this season. In some ways I expect it to be very different but then there are some classic features like the diary room.

Nominations and evictions are the key component of Big Brother and they remain - just in a different format. The diary room is another key component, as is being confined in the house.

Now most of us would say the show being broadcast as it happens and a 24/7 live feed are key components too, and I'd agree. Others would say the public voting is too, and I guess whilst that has gone on a weekly basis it is still there in determining the winner, so like nominations and evictions remains but in a different format.

I wonder if they'll do letters from home for the HoH - with a week in a show that is probably a waste of time, and a key component of those letters is usually people saying they're watching and you're doing well etc., so they'd be irrelevent now anyway.

I was thinking about this while recently watching BB UK 2018. I think they’ll still have “letters from home” or similar but instead of focusing on what the HMs are doing, it will be more about how the families are doing at home and how much they miss the them etc etc.

My main concern is whether we’ll have enough time to get to know the housemates stories and their interactions in the house, or whether it’s just all about the game. Also the length of the show is a bit disappointing.

Some more house shots from the press. Not a fan of the camera in the alcove in the backyard. If it’s a hothead you’d think they would make it look better...

First look at the bedroom on sunrise ad.

I know it's not 2020 but wasn't sure where else to link, but here's a link with sketches/ I think a floor plan of the 2014 house and etc. Probably been shared here already too

How shonky is the bathroom! You can see the light seeping through between the wall and the roof.
Or is this a change room for the challenge “arena”?

overall it’s pretty budget looking

The house looks great, I just think the outside is abit bland compared to the inside.

Also, I believe the games arena is gonna be called ‘the basement’ as captioned in an ig post.

If that's the case that's not really a twist at all. Just a badly named functional space.

I thought the "Basement" might be the Have Not Area, where the losers of the food challenge may have to live. BBUK also had a "Basement" for one of their celeb series which basically served that purposed - indeed possible the 4 extra people entering on the Tuesday and Wednesday could go there rather than the main house. If one by one they then replaced the initial evictees that would be a twist worth boasting about.

I get why there’s no ceilings anywhere in the house now apart from the bathroom and diary room, there’s no way of making it look good
