Did you shout "Get David out!" at the top of your lungs for a bit? There's probably a David in there, right? Just to make him paranoid.
Haha so true. Though I was more keen to play it cool so they don’t fence it off from the public even further!!

I suppose they’re less paranoid about letting people close to the house because they can just edit it out and no live streams, etc etc. Was funny to walk past and think... wow hms are in and we’ll see what they’ll get up to in a couple of months.

Here’s some images from this morning...
Cheers! Wasn't expecting how lax they are on people being close to the house considering the old compound in dreamworld was impossible to get near while they were filming. I'm also super surprised there's no actual door on the front of the house.

Yeah, same here! I was almost hoping they’d invite me and my friend in given the door was open and you could see lights strobing in what appeared to be a hallway perhaps to the actual entrance of the house inside.

Here’s another image from a side angle, showing what is perhaps the garden area... not sure though. Hopefully looks better on the inside!

Kinda want to buy a mini drone with a camera on it just to get a peek on what's happening over the wall. I love channel 7's approach to security being the hotline to rent-a-fence and some $20 tarps from bunnnings 😍😍

Looks like the picture we thought was the diary room is just the entrance hallway of the housePicsArt_02-25-01.06.01.jpg84624824_875155369589382_7500867435629641728_n.jpg

I quite like the front of the house myself, but then I always quite like the fairly simple facades. Obviously though it's missing an audience - suspect we'll only see close ups of the door and walkway and I don't think we'll only see the housemates leaving from the inside, though I think they did that during the Nine years anyway.

Still looks better than that hot pink mess that was the "front" of the house in 2014 that they literally used only twice.
Remember the gateway as viewed from the garden, but not the "front" from the outside. 2013 had the Heaven/Hell front doors for the Half Way House used in the launch. Think 2012 had the bubble style entrance which they tried to make out was directly linked to the studio, but clearly wasn't - though nowhere near as bad as the 2008 revolving doors.

@samv Is there any security around at all? What's to stop someone walking right onto that ramp and poking their head in the entryway?
Yeah, there’s security around monitoring the site so you need to keep to the public laneways/paths that surround it.

Looks like a studio to me...that VIPs can be choppered in and out of, perhaps.... Maybe Sonia.. if she's a good negotiator, lol.

I know right...
I’ll give it a chance, because, of course I will. It’s Big Brother. I wonder how it’ll roll out to us as viewers? I guess it could still be portrayed similarly on screen. Evictions will be very different. And the fact we still choose a winner... time will tell. Hopefully it airs a lot sooner than expected.

Is it though?

One thing which I think will be missed more than we realise is the knowledge that housemates have no idea about key news and sport events happening outside of the house. That's always been a big part of the show (and Australia made a feature of it during the finale) and it's not quite the same when they're missing events that by the time it airs they'll catch up on.

It is something that worldwide has given the format some important moments - from the revealing of 9/11 to the US housemates to them finding out about Trump being elected a few years back. Even in Love Island that is now carried through with it being broadcast as it's filmed - most tragically seen this week in the latest UK series when contestants had to be informed of the death of the (suspended) host of the show.
