I really, really hope Big Brother Australia does not copy the Uk and go back to vote to evict. Vote to save keeps the more interesting Housemates in and last year we would have been stuck with people like Ryan and George to the end if it was vote to evict. In 2008 the series was not actually to bad when it was a public vote to save for nominations and than the Housemates did the evicting. When it went back to the public evicting though the series went downhill very quickly. I know the whole purpose of the show is to evict Housemates but I find the vote to save keeps the more interesting and bigger character type of housemates in.

Don't forget those Punishments they have in some other Big Brother were the housemates could not vote for other people, and other cool Twists. Oh and lets get rid of the crappy nominations room and just stick to the Diary Room.
 
With a return of a similar spin off show to FNL, I wonder what the chances are of some of the 2012 Housemates hosting if it is a show that needs hosting that is.
 
I'm hoping it's a separate 2hr 'live' show, rather than a 30 minute daily show of a similar type to FNL "recorded yesterday" and heavily edited.

If it is a live show that needs hosts, who do you think the most likely candidates from the 2012 batch of Housemates would be? I am guessing Josh and Michael or Stacey and Ben with Goldman making a threesome with each of those pairs. The only other Housemates I think would be a chance is Bradley.

Edit: I was just skimming through Mike Goldman's twitter and on June 24, Mike Goldman sent Alex Mavroidakis a message saying: "Just heard you on NOVA. Nice one!". A random than replied saying to him: "are you doing Big Brother live shows again this year Mike? I hope so!". Mike Goldman than replies to that random by saying: "Yes I am ;) See you there!!!"

Soooooo it sounds like Mike Goldman will be a part of a live show this year. He could just be talking about the warming up of the crowds before the eviction night but I doubt it. I think he is talking about something similar to being a host of a spin off show like FNL, Uplate or Big Mouth or maybe something completely new.

The bit about Mike "being part of a live show" again could really go two ways. Realistically, it could just refer to him being warm-up guy again because technically it's still "doing live shows", the only difference is that it's off-screen rather than on. The fact that Mike's response says "see you there" also points more to the fact that he's interacting with audience members, i.e. warming up the crowds.

In saying that though, for all I know it could be true that he is indeed hosting something again. If so, I wouldn't mind it. As much as I know he annoys people sometimes, it'd be nice to see him hosting something again, even if for old times sake and to see someone different to Sonia being part of the show at times.

Adding to the comments about 2012 HM's hosting something, I'd definitely say Benjamin, Stacey and/or Bradley are potential candidates (more so because of their so-called "popularity" among both the teenyboppers and the crew - and I've noticed everyone on the team seems to lovelovelove Bradley, judging by some of the tweets I've seen **vomit** but then again, he does have a stutter which would jeopardize a hosting role... he was still easily one of worst HM's ever imo). I would have also definitely suggested Michael too (another *vom*), but hasn't he just recently gotten a job on Nova or something? Not sure how that'd affect it if so.

In saying all this too however, I am simply theorising because in actual fact I seriously hope NO old HM's take on any hosting roles on BB whatsoever*! :p

Yeah it really could go either way with Mike. I do hope that we see a spin off show this year that is not hosted by Sonia. It would be nice to get alternative hosting styles and hosting views. I would really love to see a show like Big Mouth make a return. In 2012 the only footage we got of the Housemates outside of the House was the eviction interviews. In the old series they had the eviction interview, nominations/Big Mouth interview, and appearance on FNL and Uplate.

In regards to Michael's job with the radio affecting his chance of being on FNL or a similar spin off show, Fitzy use to be a host on FNL and he was a radio DJ at the time so I don't think it would matter at all. My preference would probably be Ben and Stacey to be honest.

I loved Ray!!!! Doubt he would get any gig though unfortunately!!!!!!!
 
and if big brother aus was to ever have a spin off show like Big brother uk (bit on the side) i would love to see gretel hosting, she has a great knowledge on the show.
 
Gretel Killeen should make a come back
but her Career is buried for good after the logies

Most likely, but Josh seems like a homeless Muppet. I would think a host should at least shower.

Yeah maybe but I couldn't think of one single female housemate from the channel 10 era that would return. Maybe Vesna? Who were you thinking of Brekkie?
 
If they were to do a spin-off show, I agree that Josh would be a major possibility due to him already having experience to an extent when he presented part of the New Year Celebrations for Channel Nine. Layla would also have to be on the maybe list mainly for that fact that she would already be signed with Nine after doing Celebrity Apprentice...would be an easy switch over.
 
I think Layla would struggle with any hosting role.

She could maybe be a correspondent, but let's remember, she was the dimmest housemate of 2012.

Regina would come back to Big Brother in some form if she was ever offered, and so would Sara-Marie.

Sara-Marie stated a number of times over the years that she would do the "experience" in any way over and over again.
