Exactly... TBH those that know me will tell you that I really haven't been that douchey as of late... Now you can either learn to live with me and realize that I actually add quite a bit of knowledge and information to this forum or you can fight me and lose miserably...

The Muffin Man you joined just to say how much of a douche you think I am??? How pathetic are you???

WELL Kingston, I chose to register for this forum because this forum is one of the better ones that has Leakers, and theoriests
and is a good place to banter about BB

Oh! and Kingston

"I'm saying you're a Douche... I'm just saying you've got luck when it comes to Cleaning"

Oh you two, just stop it! This isn't a forum for arguing on! :p
Mostly everyone knows that Kingston can be annoying but we all put up with it! He isn't like that anymore anyway.
@The_Muffin_Man and how dare you join these wonderful forums and just start arguing with one of the best users.

Now either continue posting about Big Brother or bugger off.

I wonder if Big Brother will air for 100 days this year like 2005-2007 because they are starting the series a few weeks earlier and last year the ratings dropped significantly for Channel 9 when Big Brother ended so I am curious to see if they extend the series from that 85 day mark that was the season length in 2001-2004, 2008 and 2012 to the 100 day mark like 2005-2007.

Sometimes I prefer just 85 days tbh. Depends how good the series is.

100 days is pushing it... It just means they have to pimp in too many new HM's to extend the length... Although even at 85 days last year they still had far too many HM's in the final weeks...

I agree with the Theorist, it really depends on how the series plays out... Some of the 2005 - 2007 series were painfully dull as the series approached the 100 day mark...

Just to clarify, I am not saying I would want the series to go for 100 days, I am just speculating that it could be a possibility.

Agrees with the king, 85 is a good starting block. There is always room to extend if going well or needed.

Latest press release for anyone interested (mostly rehashed details):

Get ready Brotherhood... Big Brother has been plotting the final elements of his mysterious master plan in time for the launch of the launch of the 2013 series.

With final touches being added to the BB House and studios, tickets are now on sale for loyal BB fans to celebrate this year’s new series at the launch show. In honour of the unlucky number that is "13", the cheeky 2013 launch show will have everyone doing the 'twist' as Big Brother sends his new batch of Housemates straight into a curve-ball.

Host Sonia Kruger said: “We can't tell you too much until our new Housemates are safely in lockdown but here's a hint: With their every move monitored by cameras 24/7, The Big Brother House is officially the safest residence in the country... or is it?”

Big Brother Executive Producer, Alex Mavroidakis said: "This year's BB Housemates are very interesting! Their professions and backgrounds are not like any we have seen before and we have been blown away by the range of people applying this year, it is making the final choice tough on who will make it into the house.”

CEO Dreamworld, Todd Coates said: “Dreamworld is the only theme park in the world to host Big Brother. Only at Dreamworld can BB fans buy tickets to experience the live shows and meet their favourite housemates after being evicted.”

Hosted by Sonia Kruger, produced by Southern Star Entertainment and broadcast on the Nine Network from Dreamworld's Studios, Big Brother’s launch show will be recorded on Sunday 28th July. Tickets can be purchased only at Dreamworld, either online at www.dreamworld.com.au or by calling 07 5631 3600 (10am to 5pm).

They lost at me at "Brotherhood"... HATE THAT REFERENCE SO MUCH!

Ugh. But on a series note, looks like the whole 13 thing is almost definitely part of the twist this year...

Where is this from marquisite? Based on Sonia Krueger's comments it is very clear the theme is based around Alex M's comments back at the start of the year: "Big Brother 2013, Lucky for some, Unlucky for others". Some Housemates are going to be unlucky which is something anybody on here with half a brain has known for a while.

Alex M's comments on the housemates are interesting and I hope the final batch of Housemates delivers and his comments are not a lie. Based on his comments in regards to the Housemates us fans should be expecting a more diverse cast full of people with different backgrounds hopefully in regards to their ethnicity, religion ect. ect. His comment "We have been blown away by the range of people applying this year" tell's me that there is a wide range of ages in the final housemates and hopefully this is shown in the final batch chosen.

I am getting very excited for this upcoming season.

It was just posted up on another TV forum today. Technically a media release, not press (oops), so it was likely sent to various media type sites (TVTonight for example).

It does sound interesting that a curveball will happen at launch (and not waiting until a special show) although I expect due to the amount of attention "the twist" has been getting in promo's and the like it'll probably be something that can unfold over multiple days or shows. Like 2004 with the prize money and only gradually informing the housemates.

Ok thanks for posting it!

Yeah I am most excited about the new Housemates to be honest. I can not wait for the rumours to heat up and the week leading up to launch when the housemates are in lockdown is the most exciting week of Big Brother for me each year because the speculation and build up to launch night makes me excited for each new series.

Only 19 days until the Big Brother Launch Night. Roughly 13/14 days until lockdown. I expect some Housemates would have already been definitely chosen. Not long now until the full batch of 14-16 will be selected and informed I suspect.

I know Ben, Michael and Bradley remained on the final Housemates wall from the day they first auditioned until the end of the housemate selection process. I wonder if there are 3 or perhaps more in this years bunch who the producers really took notice of straight away and have remained on the definite wall all along.

I'm all for keeping it at 86 days. Big Brother 2005 was so painfully boring with those last 2 weeks with the same 3 people moaning and crying about missing their loved ones. 85/86 days is a perfect fit for me.

From memory, Housemate's were not given prizes when they were evicted last year. Do you think evicted Housemate's will receive prizes this year?
