Whoever thought a single hard drive as the only copy was a good idea should be found and punished.

but surely in this day and age there are ways to retrieve data from hard drives?

Probably is just coming down to "is it worth the effort?" just to be able to post them on YouTube.

They still look great, although you lose a lot of sharp detail on the latter, but I'll never get past how unnatural the colour is...

God they actually look quite crap.

Have the original streams been completely removed now or just hidden?

I tried a previous link for 2003 marathon part 1 but the stream recording is not available to play. I presume as individual episodes for later series go up that the stream recordings will gradually go away.

That’s an issue with YouTube. You can only rewind up to 12 hours and they tend to not archive any streams that run for longer than 12 hours. The marathons from the first couple of seasons ran for more than 12 hours. So they are lost.
