To be fair, I watched a bit and Jackie tried to. But bloody Kyle kept interrupting and making light of the situation, as usual.

There’s been so many instances this season where Jackie O actually showed a lot of potential at times, but she was shut down and never got a proper chance to shine while Kyle was there. It’s a shame. I dunno how she had the patience at times.

100%. There's been countless times where on an Eviction show, she's asked a question and then as soon as she is done talking, Kyle decides to cut in before the evictee can answer and asks his own question instead. I wonder if it was like this on their radio show at the time too.

I didn't think it was possible but I'm starting to hate Kyle more than I already did. No respect for woman, encouraging bullying and 1950 views. He was the worst choice for host, the show was dying, and he made sure it died and put the fans though a slow and planful death.

I've never had a problem with Jackie O, she would've been a lot better on her own and with less interference from producers (It seems like Gretel had a bit more freedom with the live shows than what Kyle and Jackie O do)
 
Big call but the Daily Show when Rima revealed there was no mole, and the house subsequently imploded, is one of the best BBAU episodes to date.

If there was an Australian “Best Bits” style countdown, I’d easily put it in to a Top 10.

To be fair, Kyle is an all round rude guy and he would've acted the same if Jackie O were a dude.

That said, I thought he was more mellow and "toned down" in the show compared to his real sulky self like on Idol. I also thought Jackie O wasn't so bad as a host and would've done well on her own.

What about Bree? I thought she would make an excellent BB host. And I mean Bree by herself (no Fitzy).

Having seen way more FNL lately than ever before (and largely against my will) I will say Bree is actually a pretty weak host and seems constantly out of her depth compared to Mike and Fitzy.
 
I, too, keep tuning into FNL for this stream and then quickly leaving. Too much to try and catch up on. At one point I saw there were just 81 viewers.

I will try to watch the finale as infuriating as it is, do we know when this will end?

I’m honestly shocked that he still has a career TBH. I also found it strange that he was acting as a mouthpiece for 7’s Australian Idol reboot like he knew what it took to make the show successful when he was brought in as Dicko’s replacement after the show was already a bonafide success.

I caught a second of FNL when they were hyping Pam’s appearance 🤮. Will never understand the appeal the FNL crew had.

I can understand from a purely nostalgic perspective for those who were very young when it aired, but even then I think surely it’s so long and boring with so much pointless filler from the hosts, not to mention the repeated offensive content. It has absolutely not stood the test of time.

Agree 100%. Like I said earlier brining it back as maybe a one per season thing as part of a twist wouldn’t be a bad idea to appease those who want it but otherwise it really is just pointless filler.
 
I just turned this on to see they're up to Day 71 already, I didn't realise this was finishing up so much earlier than previously (but duh its only an 85 day season).

It's so annoying that they improved the FNL winner's nominations power so well in 2007 with the save and replace mechanic to the 2008 version being so stupid. I hate how regardless of how many nominees there were the next person/s with the highest points would be added to the nominee roster. Pretty much whoever had the 4th highest points was auto nommed.

In this week if Cherry was able to simply save himself with no replacement needed then Terri, Rory and Ben would have been nominated with one of our eventual finalists going in 7th place, Brigitte makes it to the final 6 round where Cherry gets evicted anyway and she gets to last the final days and could have even possibly survived that double and won.

Am I overanalysing something from nothing? Probably, Brigitte winning would have made this season so much better than what it was.
