I find it sad in a way that this season is good. It tells me there was still life in the show even if viewer fatigue was happening. I know they had a new EP in 2008 which is seemingly a big part of the problem but if they had just kept the same vibe as this one, even without Gretel, its legacy might have been spared and it could have at least gone out on a high.

I so agree, I felt like that when I did my rewatch and i finished this season. It felt like this show was headed in the right direction, it’s just a shame that production was seemingly too chaotic to keep it consistent.

It's better because it wasn't full of boofy bogans, but instead of that the guys were pretty bland. So much so the public kept voting out the women, forcing BB to intervene and put - as it turned out - all the bland boys up thus removing two of the blandest. S8 was a kind of freak show by comparison.

I guess that kinda makes sense. They had confirmed real Zach, but then made an assumption with the username thing last night that Titanic_zachdouglas was also the same account and the mod/verification thing had fallen off.
