Big Brother 2005 on official YouTube channel (Live streamed Sept 12-14 + Sept 19-21)

I don't have much of a memory of 2005, particularly the housemates, but I do remember this is the start of fines and the evil Big Brother I remember so fondly. I'd love this aspect to return in some form. I'm really looking forward to Jamie's season in 2006. If I remember correctly I recall being blown away at how much [close up] nudity 2006 featured. I think 06 was also the introduction of the punishment room? Also an aspect I enjoyed.

Friday Night Games (also recall "Friday Night Live" being used at some point?) was always hit or miss for me. I'd watch some of them to see the winner enter the rewards room with their chosen hm, but I do also remember skipping some all together.

Let's take it for what it is and hopefully it's enjoyable to go down memory lane again :)
 
FNL is almost impressive for being both offensive and boring at the same time.

I don’t even feel like people would enjoy a new version of it, there was, quite simply, a lot less to watch on tv at the time. Im not sure who the demo was? It seems like mostly those who were children at the time seem to be the ones who remember it fondly.

It definitely serves as a time capsule for the type of comments and attitudes that were commonplace then, thankfully society does better now for the most part.

It was pre recorded specials that aired from January-April 2006 iirc featured different categories of celebrities/sportspeople etc each night in playoffs to a grand final.
Kinda like remember the ‘Australia’s Brainiest ______’ specials around the same time hosted by Sandra Sully that were a spin off of the Kids version, they had ones like Neighbours cast member and a BB housemate one.

That’s what I was talking about in the 2004 stream thread, that also appears to be the voting number suffix assigned to each housemate in sequential order running left to right row by row (Terri number .61, through Merlin number .74). ;)

Yeah! I only referred to it as FNG in my earlier post as a follow-on to the BBAU account calling it that, but it was always FNL.

That’s correct - there was Friday Night Games, and then there was also Friday Night Download which didn’t last very long. All hosted by Mike, Fitzy and Bree. It really goes to show how much of a sensation the brand became in those years, whether for good or bad.
