I don't agree with her accusation that his silence was "aggressive" though. I didn't at the time and I still don't. She might have felt it a bit confronting, but I don't think aggressive was the right word. Merlin was like the least scary HM ever. At the time he was visibly freaking out and overcome with determination, and trying to deal with an adrenaline overload.The conversation between Gretel and Merlin on the Nominations show the night after his eviction protest was so profound. I almost wish this got shown just as much as his protest has over the years. Both of them so eloquent and well-spoken, and diplomatic in discussing what happened.
